Thank you. I have a Rieger Begonia I got a month ago, it was about to "get chucked into the garbage" so it came home with me and I was giving it as much direct sunlight as possible :( , thank goodness it is very dreary here in Ohio so it's doing fine. :) I probably would have planted it outside too in full sun once summer got here, so this video saved a life.

Brad, I got sucked in at Home Depot during late Spring. Now, its hot Summer and don't understand why places like H D and nurseries sell them during those times of the year...why not Fall? Here in NYC area where we had a wet spring and i had mine outside and its just barely alive. I could find a shady area, but its the high 80's now. Do these plants yield seeds during this time of year? I deadhead one flower and there is a hard nougat which maybe a seed...if it is, can u tell me how to utilize it? Swell video.

Does Dragon wing begonia grow from corms?

Hi Brad. I am in Victoria Australia. I bought these beautiful winter begonias, but right after i brought them in my house they started shedding flowers. Now the leaves are browning and curling. I am sure I am not overwatering. There is good indirect light. Ive kept them indoors and the temperature is motly around 60F. I dont know what I am doing wrong but I am loosing these beauties. Anyone can help?

Mine blooms all year. It's grown so much but I'm afraid to transplant because its never not in bloom! What do I do? I think it could use a bigger pot! It's a house plant only.

Should I prune off old blooms? Does this promote more growth- or does it need to be a stem pruning? Thanks 💕

@Amy L - Thanks for responding, Amy - mine have sort of a line or row of blooms on a stem; do you think I should pinch off below the whole row of blooms once they’re spent?

@@ruthheller5696 I would not remove from the stem (I believe more growth can come from the stem). For my begonia I cut off each individual dead flower. Give it time and right conditions- the results are beautiful! By removing dead flowers I think the plant has more energy to grow new blooms. I also added some fertilizer and she's been growing well.
