Thanks for your very well made Pt1 and Pt2 videos. I'm researching this for my Maurellii and my green Ventricosum as I am expanding my borders next spring. I'm excited to try that, prob today. Thks again.

Great video. I have this plant on order to arrive in a couple weeks. In a year or two I plan on trying to propagate it as well.

Thanks, they grow so quickly, I got that Ensete this time last year as a tiny little plant and it was over a meter in size by autumn. Good luck with your new plant.

Did this to mine pretty much identically. it's been in a pot since end of November. No growth yet. Just looks dry. Any idea?

It does take a long time for growth to start, probably about three months, once it starts to grow it is usually pretty quick. You can speed things up by keeping it in a warm location.

Did you water them

Yes, but I kept them a little on the dry side until they started to sprout.

I've just cut mine too low down across the top, do you think it's a goner?

It should be ok, you might have damaged the growing point, but it will produce new plants from the corm.

Can you show us an update on the Paulownia trees?
@Gardeningat58N2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I hope to make an update video in a few weeks, they are still dormant at the moment, but they should spring into growth when the weather warms up later this month.

Hi, what is the best time of the year to do this please? Also is it ok to do this to a small young plant or is more successful with a mature plant?
@Gardeningat58N Жыл бұрын
Its best done in autumn when you dig them up to protect them from the frost, that way by the time the new plants have formed its spring and the new plants will have a summer to size up enough to survive the next winter. Its best done on mature plants as you will get a lot more new plants and a small plant may be killed by such a procedure. Although this plant was only a baby when I planted it in spring and by autumn it was large enough for me to propagate.

@@Gardeningat58N Thanks I ordered a small one online which should receive tomorrow so I'll feed it well this summer and divide at the end of the summer. Thanks very much I'll feel a bit more confident about doing it now🙂👍

Great video, thanks. I was just wondering how long it was between cutting and planting the main stem to when you saw new growth appearing?
