Great video Sir! Btw, i would like to mention that even without roots your banana can survive and root :D Just put it plastic bag over it after placing it in soil + using fungicide or cinnamon on wound will help. I received musa basjoo without any root, cutted from base of the plant too soon and it rooted after 1 month or so... Now it is huge guy which gave me tons of babies ;)

Thanks for putting up this series of videos in the Ensete Maurelii. I am going to follow your method for my Ensete Ventri....the green / varigated one. I only have one and just checking in with you and your followers before I sacrifice it. There is o reason why it should be any different to the prop of the Maurelii. Thks again

How will you keep those in winter? The same as big ones?
@Gardeningat58N8 ай бұрын
For the small plants I keep them in my conservatory in pots, although they don't really grow much over winter. For the bigger plants I cut off the roots and leaves and store them in a cool place which is frost free, then plant them out in spring.

Could you tell me when you did the original split, was it this time last year?
@Gardeningat58N Жыл бұрын
Yes it was late autumn, I think it was early November just before the first frosts were due to come. There is a part one to this video where I go into more detail about digging up and splitting the ensete.
