I love that you show the results after a few months. Most content creators only explain how they improved the soil and other growing conditions, but rarely give an update, so one is left thinking, "Well, did work? Did the plant recover? How fast? How well?" It's helpful to know what one should expect...and when it's time to give up on a plant that's past beyond repair. Your presentation is much more encouraging and insightful than most. Thank you!

Thank you So much for your encouraging words...really appreciated! I believe updates is needed as this way, viewers won't have to do any guesswork and so I try to do that in most of my videos. I would be doing my best to keep this as it is. Thank you once again and Happy Gardening :-)

After replanting my oxalis, it just dropped it's leaves and maybe stayed dormant. I was very sad to lose it, but used to water it on a daily basis. One fine day, lo and behold, new leaves were popping out, I was elated. Now after seeing your video, I am much more confident to take care and such for this plant. I have not fertilized it yet, will do so from now on. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for this very informative video because I would have taken off all the soil and exposing the roots. So glad I know now what not to do. My oxalis was getting full morning sun and the color was a bit dull, recently moved her into a shaded area and she's looking good. Your color is really vibrant and of course it's my favorite color.

You are most welcome and thank you So much for your words! I do that, quite often but only with hardy plant. For Oxalis, it's better not to expose the complete roots as they are too delicate. My place is windy too..so, my plant need care like a baby..lol I am glad to know your plant is doing good now, TC :-)

Once the Oxalis Triangulus starts looking 'tired' and losing it brilliant color you can cut back on watering and store the plant in a cool dark place for a month. I usually repot or freshen up the soil after that but even if you dont it will Explode once you start watering again and give it light.

Thank you So much for your words :-) Myself Chandan Dutta! Tulip - I can upload video from planting bulbs to getting sprouted. Problem is, they need much cool weather to bloom and my place is not ideal for them :-( Already tried 3 times. They sprout but can't bloom as temp is not favorable. But still, I would try this winter by following some tricks. Hope, I would be successful.

I have to do spraying of water on its leaves or not?
@GardeningUpbeat Жыл бұрын
No need actually..I never do that as the leaves are hydrophobic (Even if you do, showered water droplets would get repelled and would hardly remain on the surfaces). Thank you!

Thank you for the video. Just three days before I got this plant after searching a lot. Instead of perlite what can be used? I could not found perlite at my area.

Did you cut the old leaves ? I repotted mine and it’s soo droopy now what do i do?
@GardeningUpbeat Жыл бұрын
I only removed only the damaged leaves..please wait for some more days, it would take time. In the meantime, try to provide as much bright light as you can. Once it starts producing new leaves, you can apply fertilizers. Wish you all the best!

In which month oxalic seedlings should be potted
@GardeningUpbeat2 жыл бұрын
@s nc, It would depends on the area. For example, in Tropical climate, best time to plant the bulbs (or plant itself) would be fall (In Summer may not do well if temp is too high). In Western countries, planting in spring would be ideal once after all frost danger has passed. I hope, that helps.

Always been a fan of oxalis triangularis because of it's unique color and shape of leaves🤗🤗 if only it wasn't so expensive at my place😩 I have a few questions though... While repotting, did you remove the rotten leaves or stems? Can rotten portions of a plant go back to being healthy? And, It has rained a few times in my city so as per your videos, I took some cuttings of both my red and white hibiscus plants(both are desi variants). I planted them in a pot after applying some rooting hormone. It has been nearly three weeks but I don't see any new growth on them. A couple of them died and I removed them promptly. What am I missing? Pls help🙏
@GardeningUpbeat2 жыл бұрын
Hmm..it's bit expensive in my place too :-( It's the Hybrid one and so bit costly. >> While repotting, did you remove the rotten leaves or stems? Can rotten portions of a plant go back to being healthy? Yes I did and rotten stems won't come back again. However, there would be bulb inside and from that, we can get new sprouts if and only if bulbs are not rotten. Cuttings can fail due to many reasons. In most cases, the stem rot before even they get a chance to produce the roots. Happens due to the pathogens in the soil. So, we need good soil. If you are using sand, you can try washing the sand properly before planting the cuttings. I hope you can try once again and wish you all the best!
@rakeshnag59622 жыл бұрын
@@GardeningUpbeat thanks a lot for the advice🤗 and what you said was precisely the case with my cuttings😩 they rot before they produce new roots or leaves. This time I'm going to take at least 20 cuttings and try propagating them. Don't mind me asking further but how can I wash the sand I place the cuttings in?
@GardeningUpbeat2 жыл бұрын
You can just use a bucket -> fill it with water -> pour all the sand -> wash them well -> use a filter to separate the sand from the water...just like we use Teat strainer or Teat filter. Or you can also just pick the sand from the water with hands. It's easy as they don't mix with water...
