If you're like me and you like decorating your home with things from your garden, you might want to dry flowers. They make great decorations during winter. Best of all, they will remind you of your garden.
In this video, I am showing how I dry my Japanese anemones in silica sand. You can find the sand online or at a florist shop. Just be sure to always wear an N95 mask and gloves when handling the sand. Read the instructions on the box.
Tips for getting the best results:
1. Be careful when you place the sand onto your stems to avoid crushing them.
2. When you add the sand onto the petals, use a little sand at a time.
3. Be sure to leave the stems undisturbed at least 3 days to a week so they dry properly.
4. Be careful removing the stems from the sand to avoid breaking off petals.
These little flowers will last all winter long. Thanks for watching.
