Hey @Teika Samuda did your areca grew well I bought one and it's leaves are green but still it turned out brittle 😢 The temperature here where I live is a bit high nearly above 30 degrees Is temperature a reason?

It also grows well in a north west facing window not in direct sunlight this plant feels majestic to me, water it once a week I purchased it at H Depot for $14.00 now it's worth about $80.00 now and it's taller than me @ 6 feet. Happy Growing....

Areca palm does get attacked easily with white termites, bacteria , and over all infectious so even though we cut and throw away the affected stems they had spread so fast that other stems do get affected. Suggest on this part.

Wonderful information 👌. I had tried growing this plant a number of times but each time I bought this plant it died on me after a few months. Guess it must be due to the harsh winters of Delhi and lack of direct sunlight during those winter months. But I love this plant. Please make a video on use of egg shells in the garden soil mix. Please tell if it is useful for soil aeration, does it loosen the soil? Is it a replacement for perlite?does it increase the fertility of the soil in any way and if so how finely should it be crushed to make it useful for the plants.
