I usually remove the soil around the root ball only if the soil is clayey, very hard to break & compact.

Hi I'm new to plants I just bought a areca palm but the tips are brown and some leafs have small white spots on them could u plz do a video on how I can fix this!

Sure😊 But it seems like your plant may have mealybugs or white flies. These are often found on the undersides of the Areca leaves. Clean the leaves using diluted neem oil solution or spray neem oil solution twice a day or shower the plant with pressured water. Never tried. But will try. Areca palm seeds take about 4-5 months to germinate and have identical leaves. 🌱🌱🌻🌻🌻

Low humidity due to winter dormancy can cause brown leaf tips. However, water as soon as 70% soil or the upper 2-3 inches of soil feels dry., 🌷🌷
