That's one of the frustrating things about jungle compared to laning. In lane, you can make shit happen on your own, but in jungle you rely on other people to not shit the bed and somewhat sync with you.

You are just better at top than you are jungle. It has nothing to do with one role's impact over another. Jungle is easily more impactful than top lane by a mile, but every role is carriable up to challenger, especially jungle. If this wasn't true, you wouldn't see people in jungle, or whatever role you consider weak, in challenger. There are challengers from every role, so clearly it is possible, but you are not that good, yet. You have to stop blaming your teammates for your shortcomings. That's most of what I've seen you do in your jungle losses and it's why you couldn't improve. The dialogue difference between your jungle losses vs. your top losses is a massive indicator. In the top losses, you said you could've won. In the jungle losses, you are spending so much mental energy on finding a way to blame your teammates when spending that much mental energy on what you could improve, which is the only factor you can control, would help you so much more. Just guessing, but I think you're just giving yourself an excuse to cap out and give up, which is fine if you want to play other roles, but don't pretend it's because the role is bad, and it's not possible to climb on. That is very intellectually dishonest. Every role has impact if you understand the role's identity. You understand top's identity far more than you understand jungle's, and it's because you played it more and likely had a better mindset. Nothing wrong with that. You probably feel like you had something to prove this time, so you mentally ricocheted all your mistakes towards your teammates to try to absolve blame from your inability to climb while playing jungle. Be more honest to yourself not only for you, but for your fans who look up to you as an inspiration for their own improvement. You're holding yourself back, and inadvertently holding them back as well with this mindset.

So this happened to me... season 12 playing jungle I just cared about farming and ganking few times, I would carry games. In season 13 that strat doesnt work, you have to gank and pray your laners could carry the game.

I think you should do what i did to climb. Sell ur soul to enchanters and just carry with them. I swear botlane is the most important role by far. Rest of the map can be fucked but if adc and sup are fed u can win any game. Im currently on a 12 game win streak after swapping from mid to sup lol

I just wish I could get a gank top lane, I wish players weren't ever taught bot lane bot lane bot lane. Top is an island, don't go top. I can wait an eternity freezing in front of tower, for the gank that never comes. And the game goes on out of control without you. 15 minutes 3-0-0, meanwhile the lobby is 10-10-10 and there's nothing you can do about it

I’ve been trying to learn jungle too with Elise. I lost a lot of games. I’m talking like 33% wr in super low elo. But I’m coming to similar conclusions. Gank early and make things happen with polished mechanics then tax those lanes by staying and help push a bit every time. Can’t really farm without making a few impactful ganks first.

The Karthus having that hard of a drop off while having this 4lvl lead is definitely strong evidence for your theory. You should legit go through and look at all jungle mains and compare their pre and post WR's.

@A123 jungle used to have *WAY* too much individual influence for too long. With the changes that have happened recently, it looks like that's been nerfed into the ground in terms of individual agency. As a result, if your laners arent staying in lane and farming correctly, you actually get punished severely for coming out to help them at all because a good solo laner should be 2 levels up on the jungle *AT A MINIMUM*. In a dominant match such as this one, he (Neace) was 3 to 4 most of the game, which is why even when the Baron was stolen, it was meaningless. As a result, the jungle has been relegated back to a side character with the exp nerfs to jungle/buff to lanes. This is why utility support jungles will be huge this patch as they'll give power to laners that are slacking by securing objectives or massivd vision control to allow for ganks. They also tend to do really well with low cost items, like supports. Things like Maokai, Amumu, etc will be huge. I expect things like jungle/support Teemo and Shaco to make a huge resurgence as well because with just one item they can get both vision and chunk an enemeis health bar for literally half the investment of most characters through about lvls 12-16. They'll bring a lot of power and control to make up for people not doing what they should. To verify this suspicion, you look at junglers win rates pre and post patch/season. While it should go down over time (as assuing matchmaking is working correctly it will eventually get you to 50%), something like a 20-30% drop like that Karth main had is insane. Even a 10% drop when you have 1000's of games played would be precipitously bad. Thats 100 games more where you didn't have any agency (and assuming you didnt go full tard). Thats a role falling off a cliff.

I think the issue here is that Neace believes that the jungle is a 'carry' role. It isn't. It shouldn't be. It is a facilitator. You set up your teammates to carry. You are essentially the offensive and defensive coordinator of the team. You put your players in position to win and hope that they do. Does the better coach win in football every time? No. But the better coaches usually get the most out of their players. Trying to be the superhero as the jungler is the wrong mindset.

You can't just power farm jungle, the gold and xp amounts in the early game put you too far behind. It still works on some low elo stompers like Nocturne and Evelyn, but you will also still lose if the top lane gets 3-4 levels ahead. I dunno, jungle is hard, very few picks can make ganks work even in low elo without laners doing some basic set up and even on a good day you're a level or two behind the solo lanes for all of the early game so you often won't beat them 1v1 if you try to force it. You can't get objectives in the early game without winning lanes. You can't get objectives in the later game without winning team fights. It's a strong role, but it feels like it has lost a lot of its solo carry potential this season because if you can't make anything happen in the lanes, falling back to power farming doesn't give you enough gold and xp to come out in the mid game and really do anything...

chat with some pretty weird takes, that one guy talking about zed and vex playing for kills and handshaking 5 cs/min but it's really much harder to sidelane as a immobile mage on a losing team with no vision control compared to a garen on a winning team lol, and obviously an assassin will play for kills... A vex on a winning team with good vision control could do the same farming strat, it's more about how to gain and maintain tempo than just "choosing to miss cs" like chat makes it seem. Like neace got so ahead that darius's team just stopped contesting him and he basically was allowed to play pve. Getting to that state is the goal, not just not missing last hits in lane which is not the reason garen got there. If anything, he GAVE up cs early, he just played around his team better and kept high tempo always moving towards waves and collecting them uncontested with his lead.

You were losing cause you weren't playing the strongest role. Top lane can solo carry since those massive buffs to exp and gold, nerfs to mid and jg, and now bot wins through teamfight gapping, mid wins through all lanes, jg wins through dragons or top gap (supporting top via herald and ganks, or securing soul) and support wins through map influence. Jungle can't really solo carry, you HAVE to secure a dragon soul to ensure a win, as 80% of the time soul wins games through raw stat checking. Even cloud soul 15% movespeed "is useless" which is b.s, melee can't be kited with it, or ranged can't be run down with it.

JUNGLE HAS NO IMPACT ON GAMES ... I have been saying this for YEARS. Jungle can impact the map but cannot win the game ... Jungle can get lanes ahead and hope the lanes do what they are supposed to to win the game that's about all the control a junlger has over a game. Jungle itself is a low impact role.
