Picked up his debut today. As mentioned, the very first person I thought of was El DeBarge. I also hear influences from Switch (Tommy and Bobby DeBarge, Phillip Ingram), Stevie Wonder, 70s, 80s R&B. I also heard a little drop that made me think of Parliament-Funkadelic's Atomic Dog. Even thought of George Michael. His arrangements are very lush and vibrant. I have very few friends that will sit down and discuss The Spinners, Barry White, Earth, Wind and Fire, Bobby Caldwell, Tha Floaters, The Whispers, L.T.D., Cameo, One Way, Rose Royce, Bloodstone, Delfonics, Isleys, etc. These are probably some of the artist he is exploring.
