Oh Potterne. Even I have scored runs there!!! Picture postcard ground. Usually a road. If you get a chance, there is a ground not too far away tucked away in a pub garden. It's called The Poplars at Wingfield near Trowbridge and it makes Potterne look huge!!!

It looks like Jeremy's having quite the season, no matter how big the ground is. From what I'm told the league had to change the rules regarding batting points due to grounds like Potterne's (and others in Wiltshire) as the home teams were racking up batting points on small grounds every week, and clubs on larger pitches had a disadvantage. Good seeing you at Marshfield/Corsham the other week, I won't discuss the result as I'm hoping it's going to be a match video...

That is correct! To try and even out the advantage that a handful teams on smaller grounds have, WEPL have this season done away with bonus points for winning teams. It’s now a straight 20 points for a win. Losing teams get batting and bowling bonus points as before.

I nearly commented last week but I thought I'd keep it to myself. The bowling attack was absolute dross. It was an absolutely buffet being thrown down. I saw sausage rolls, meat pies and vol-au-vents. Not surprised someone cashed in and went big.
