Sure the runs didn't come this week, but there were positive signs there. I think the best sign was you looked a lot better off your pads this week with your leg side play Gareth, which is a sign you were better balanced at the crease. Positive is certainly the way forward for you

Good stuff, Gareth. I really admire your positivity and mindset. I'm in a similar boat to you with my form, just struggling to get runs and almost finding ways to get myself out but still plugging away. But keep at it - you're a good batsman; the runs will definitely come. Managed to get myself a 50 in a 16-over game yesterday so hopefully the tide turns for me and hopefully it turns for you soon, man. Also Jeremy is the man! Always delivering.

That little dab by Frankie was gorgeous. Need one of those in your repertoire mate! Keep working on your foot work in the nets, I feel it is still causing you to flap at the ball a bit when your feet aren't there and your weight is not forward, squeezes you up a bit. Big reason for that wicket was the ball was on you and instead of being feet planted over the ball driving through the line your weight was fake forward and that lack of being forward caused you to flap out through the line, squeezed up makes you hit aerial and out of control into the onside. Hard work mate, but keep grinding!

good stuff Gareth, i'm in a similar place with my form just finding it hard playing defensive but easy to slog some balls but wont last long but managed to play for the 2nds at 15 and got 124 not out in a 50 over game against top of the league and hopefully the forms comes back soon also jeremy reminds me of a T20 slogger he is the man get him top order next game and he is always delievring each game

Jeremy has scored 23% of the team runs this season batting at 6 or 7. I think Marshfield should be called Jeremyfiled for 2024. In 2024, Jeremey has scored 1124 runs. His average is 66.12 and his top score is 204. Max Bradley the opening bat has also had a solid season. In league games, he has scored 560 runs at an average of 37,33 and he has scored 16.30% of the teams runs.

Feels like you’re getting your hands out in front of- feeling for the ball - this is always a problem I have when I’m out of form. Try and play with softer hands and play later. Kane Williamson style. Lots of shots going in front of the wicket and to fielders. It’ll come back!

you're certainly batting better than you were before the t20, still think you get bogged down too much and being a nervous starter (as it appears) need to work on strike rotation early that will help you with confidence and allow you to go up the gears with confidence
