The place you stayed at is amazing. That alone made the trip a success. My father had a saying about how your eyes look so early in the morning. Something about holes in the snow. Be honest. Did you actually come to a full stop at 4:10? LOL You are SO lucky that you haven’t had any misadventures wandering around in the dark in a new location. 7:18 to about 7:22…you’re really puffing hard, Old Man. All the work in setting up the long shots. You’re all alone. We don’t appreciate your efforts as much as we should. OMG! That sandwich. So much hard work put into filming these videos. Then, going home and putting in a lot more hard work editing them into the beautiful stories we see.

Again my hat is off to you for presenting another video of the beautiful area of Joshua Tree 🌲 I have never been there but close to it. I would never go in the middle of the night in the dark as you did alone but I would certainly consider going with you or someone to see all this, just not alone. The sandwich you ate looked humongous - that would be easily enough for two meals for me if not three… and eight dollars for a drink is well over priced but they know they’ve gotcha 😱 Many thanks for this beautiful presentation !!! 🙏👍😇

What a fun video to watch through your eyes as you experienced JT for the first time. I don't know why, but I cracked up when you were standing atop that boulder and waved to Face Rock. I liked your suggestion about downloading Google maps onto your phone to help navigate. There's another app out there called GAIA GPS that I really like because it has a tracking feature that allows you to find your way back if you're out in the middle of nowhere. I used it in the sand dunes of Death Valley back in February in the pre-dawn darkness. You may want to check it out.

A little note from a desert local: In open area desert spaces everyone should be conscious of wild animals...Coyotes, Bobcats, Snakes, Scorpions and that's quickly off the top of my head. Also for visitors new to a desert area....please make sure you bring dtinking water on your desert adventures and if possible leave word with a loved one...so if you get lost in the desert it would help you be located.
