I have been smitten by his singing ever since I first heard his rendition of Chinnan Chiru Penn Poley sometime in 2007. Since then I've met him twice, once with Anil Srinivasan. He has obviously grown from strength to strength and with this series, continues to reinvent himself both as a singer and a raconteur of carnatic music. I wish him the best and do hope our paths will cross again.

T P Srinivasan Let me at the outset congratulate profusely on the concept of this programme. Hats off to you. I was not aware of this programme "Jannal Oram" until my brother sent the Episode 9 through WhatsApp. I am more comfortable with my laptop. Mine is only "Kelvi Gnanam" with "Swara AGnanam". As mentioned by you, I always enjoyed the thrill of identifying the Ragas, especially during singing of Ragamaalikai swaram or rendering of Viruttham. As a school boy in 1947, I have heard DKP Amma's singing of many popular Bharathiyar's songs. In that, your rendering of 'Thayin Manikkodi" was different from hers. What is very significant about this programme is not only your rendering but also the intermittent explanatory notes. Really fantastic to say the least. I will be watching the remaining episodes also. 🙏🙏. With my best wishes

Singing of raagamaalika swaraas in RTP when and who started it ? Was it prevalent during the period of Tiger Varadhachariyaar, Harikesanallur Muthiah Bhagavathar. Similarly does the sastra accept singing in RTP in ragaas combining say naattai, kurinji, naattaikurinji Vasantha Bhairavi Vasantha Bhairavi. Or these exercises are recent phenomenon. Secondly, Bhavayami Raghuraman was tuned by Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer. ( That is what I heard) Correct me if I am wrong
