Don't buy another Spice World jar! You can make your own. You can stop short of completely puréeing and go with a minced version.
◙ peeled garlic (I highly recommend peeling your own cloves. The pre-peeled versions sold in bags are not nearly as flavorful in my opinion)
◙vegetable or olive oil
◙ food processor or chopper (a chopper will take a little longer to process. You can also go with a chunkier minced version)
◙ airtight container
This is an easy one folks! Take the amount of peeled garlic that you would like to have available for your cooking needs. I make mine approximately every 6ish weeks. Place the peeled cloves into a food processor/chopper. Add oil and process to your preferred consistency. Store in the freezer in an airtight container. When needed, take out the desired amount from the container and replace the container back into the freezer. About one teaspoon is equivalent to one clove of garlic. If using in a
sauté add in the last couple of minutes.
