First video I actually found of someone going step by step in installing. Maybe for those who were wondering and aren’t tech savvy, you could’ve showed details in the video of you installing the wiring to the terminals of the battery. Just things like that. Overall, very good on all other details.

Good call on the wiring, I did forget to film that step, but should have added that in. Thanks for checking out the video!

I think it's amazing that you know all that, and explain your knowledge to us. I enjoyed my watching 😊 Thank you Ps: Sorry i'm later, but here to give you my support

Great video thanks for posting. I heard for the side scan to work correctly the transducer needs to hang down from the kayak. Now that you have had it on for a while have you had to adjust the transducer?

I haven't noticed that. But again, this is my first experience with depth finders, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

Hi! Thanks for a nice video! I recently got a UHD2 72SV and I’m looking at what battery to get. How long runtime do you get with your 10Ah battery? Cheers!
@DoubleBogeyBass11 күн бұрын
If I had to guess I would say somewhere around 10-12 hours. I have never actually done a full run test on how long, but I did use it in a 2 day tournament, where I was not able to charge it overnight, and it only lasted a few hours on the second day before dying. I also run my camera off of if too at the same time.

Thank you for the video, would you say also in the past year, you’re catching more fish because of it?
@DoubleBogeyBass9 ай бұрын
I would say yes, just because it’s helping me locate that offshore structure, grass lines, bait balls, etc. that I wouldn’t know was there otherwise and there have been times (New Melones video) where I located them offshore and caught them with a drop shot that I probably never would have located without the graph.

Good video. Can you do a video on your trailer? What type of trailer and what looks like a rack to hold a second kayak.
@DoubleBogeyBass Жыл бұрын
Thanks James! I do want to do a video of the trailer in the future, and I do have some footage saved to do this, but not sure when I’ll put it out yet. The trailer was purchased at Bass Pro and I did add the truck bed rack to it.

How long of a run time does the Dakota battery give you running the garmin
@DoubleBogeyBass9 ай бұрын
I fished in a 2 day tournament last year, and camped onsite and was unable to charge up my power box overnight, but I was able to run it for about a total of about 10 and a half hours before it died. I also run my rear camera off of it at the same time.

Do you got the bolt sizes an type you used to connect the garmin unit to the yak attack mount? That is what I need to finish my fish finder setup
@DoubleBogeyBass5 ай бұрын
I don’t, sorry. I just used what came with the yak attack mount.

Like Mike posted below.. I was under the impression that that transducer had to be below the level of the Kayak in order for the side scan to work correctly. anybody have any information on this? Is that true?
@DoubleBogeyBass7 ай бұрын
I honestly don't claim to be an expert on this, so I can't confidently answer that question, I do know that many people use this set up, many people that claim to know more about it than me, and they run it the same way. Tons of tournament anglers running it this way on their kayaks as well and I haven't really heard of many people having issues with it. But again maybe it will 🤷♂.

It just depends on the kayak and where you're mounting. The more space from side of the transducer to side of kayak wall where it's being mounted, the more scan area. You can mount it right at the recessed point, where lowest point of the transducer is flush with the lowest point of the kayak, and it'll be protected and still give a fully side scan picture. That's my experience anyway.
