Garmin is now helping us recover tires from the ocean.
The Osborne Reef Tire Cleanup is a complex operation that requires the best equipment to ensure efficiency and safety for our crew. That's why we're stoked to be partnering with Garmin to get our crew and vessels equipped with top of the line gear.

We are a private company & we don't accept donations. Through our sales, we're able to fund all aspects of our cleanup efforts. We do have our Pound+ Program, which enables members of the clean ocean movement to directly fund the removal of trash from the ocean, rivers, and coastlines without receiving a physical item. So where do the tires go? Landfill? You could use some to make river trash Kabooms. Stop all the plastics and trash so you have less to cleanup with your costly boats and diving.

Everything we collect is brought back to our facility where it is carefully sorted & weighed. What we can recycle gets recycled. In Florida, everything we can't recycle is taken to SWA where it is turned into energy. In Hawaii, recyclable materials are taken to local recycling center. Items that can't be recycled go to the H-Power plant, an energy-from-waste facility. At our Bali & Guatemala locations, we're storing what can't be recycled while evaluating our co-processing options.

@@4Ocean Wow great answer, thanks. I would love to see your sort and weigh videos in hopes of improving our process. Stopping the plastics and trash in our canals is the easy part, extract less easy but sort and bag is the hardest.
