What do you think of the Garmin Echomap UHD2?

So I received my garmin this morning and tried it out for a couple hours. I actually put a g8 transducer on and boy this baby is sweet. I can really notice the overall graphics is improved with good separation. I no doubt been blown away with the performance so far is a 10 out of 10

@@arvydasbareikis8836 I have livescope on my 9” screen. I know it would be way better if I had like the 16” screen I am still able to use it on the 9”. It just takes a little more effort.

forgot to ask about battery my outboard engine have only pull start how big battery do I need if I run echomap 95sv uhd2 and live scope with new 62 transducer all stuff on 4.20 sib boat , thank you for your help 🤝

I'd like to see how much of a difference in pixel quality there is between the 7 and 9. I'm looking to purchase my first unit

The 7” is 800x480 and a 9” is 1024x600. I hope to purchase a unit and try to show the difference in image quality but it might be awhile.

Hiya, Marc,, my husband & I just bought a echomap UHD2 53CV today. Never owning/using one before, we Simply cannot find a user guide for it let alone Any videos on that specific one. They are all for 93CV & up. Any good suggestions, if not, are the other ones (93 & up) basically the same as far as usage that we can kinda follow along? Thank you in advance :))) Michele ✌️

What do you want to know about it? I have one and could try to show some of the menus.

OmGosh, thank you much for that link, it should be very helpful!! We just wanted to learn how to get around the unit a bit. (We messed around some in Cabelas before he purchased it and the sales dude was helpful but this will be nice to acually have a guide to help us learn about it :)) But, if we happen to have any questions we can't seem to find answers to, I know where to come if you don't mind 😊 Thank you again,, happy fishin!!! 🎣

Just got a boat with two 93sv Plus units. Older of course, just wondering if a GT54 or 56 would be an improvement. Currently running the GT52HW on them.

I’m not familiar with the gt52. For me the GT54 and 56 are comparable for my type of fishing.

There's a huge difference your not mentioning, there's no support for nmea 2000 on the uhd2, it is one uhd

That is only true for the non touch screen models

Only the 5" UHD2 has no NMEA 2000 ports. The 6", 7" and 9" do.

Marc, What lower priced unit 9-12" would be good to use on a bass/crappie second boat as a fish finder gps sonar and also with a cradle mount and serve as a bow mount screen that could utilize wireless data from my helm mounted 8612 xsv on my larger offshore boat. Would be great it it was panoptics compatible use one both ??

Have a 93 uhd as well as a 106 Ultra. I like the resolution for side vu so much better on the 106 that I use it over the 93 on my kayak. Problem is the 106 is just huge to have on a kayak IMO. The 93 uhd2 would be a perfect balance even though the 106 still has a higher pixel count. Unfortunately I just bought the Ultra G3 map chip 2 weeks ago and it won't work in the new uhd2 units. 😒

92 has the worldwide base map and the 95 has Garmin Navionics + Canada inland and costal. The different ending numbers mean either different maps or different transducer options.
