+TabbyRogersRayner hi. The HR for gym (weights) I suspect will be inline with the accuracy of the Fenix 3 HR. The reason being is that almost all wrist based HR monitors struggle with accuracy when lifting weights or activities that involve the use of the hands. I have done a test run and it's inline with the Fenix 3 HR. Hope that helps?

Hey mate, many videos and blogs are saying they've changed the HR algorithm and actually using new sensors for the F5. Just wondering if those claims are true or just made up.

Active JR I see amazon don't currently stock the sapphire version. I suspect that will change in time.

Yes, the Fenix 5 is currently only shipping in non sapphire version. If you are UK based then I suspect it will change within 2 weeks

+John Manley I found it just as comfortable as an Apple Watch and far more comfortable than the Fenix 3 HR. I think this is due to the flexible build of the strap

I have this sometimes. Have you tried turning off the Bluetooth off on the phone and then turning back on? Are you running iOS 11?
