Just some feedback on body battery based on my 6x. I found it very useful to show me how my stats crashed when I got Covid 19. It was really good for me to see and avoid training too soon while my system was low..

just wanted to say, the GPS multi band is ONLY for the fenix 7x solar with the SAPHIRE glass. so the regular Fenix 7x solar i have, doesn't has that GPS multi band option. :(

Hello! Unfortunately, I returned my fenix 7x pro solar watch, and I will tell you the reason. It does not record daytime sleep. For example, if I sleep for 2 hours after dinner, it does not record these hours, it considers them as if I were active. From that moment on, what confidence can I have in the health parameters they display? It's a shame, I really liked the watch, but it's a major minus that I couldn't ignore, especially when I'm talking about a gadget of almost 1000 euros.

They updated the watch to track naps now. You returned the watch for no reason.

Solid review. I really appreciate you throwing out 10 years of potential service life from the device. It is expensive. However, if it provides 10+ years of service, it will pay for itself. Thanks for sharing.

I'm not sure how too many features is negative. You can organize anremove/sports in the start page. There are sports that I don't do, but I can't knock the watch for it. I love the map's on the Fenix 7x. The screen is small but once your route is loaded it's much easier to follow the route on the watch rather than pulling the phone out during an activity.

In design, they always say less is more and I agree: too many features complicate user experience for the sake of it. I love the Fenix 7X - after all, I wore it for half a year - but I'd rather Garmin omit some redundant/niche features to make it easier to operate the watch for beginners. A good example is the body battery/race day widget/Garmin Coach/daily workout suggestions quartet (maybe I could add training readiness to this mix). They are somewhat similar but don't work together. Do we need them all? Would it not make sense to integrate some features into others and have one training coach that recommends workouts based on all your stats? Just wondering

Totally agree with you. I don’t understand the body battery function at all. And don’t think it matches what my actual condition. But the map feature works perfectly for me especially outdoor in the middle of nowhere in Australia where phone is often struggling to find signal.

Totally disagree. The body battery is one of the best features on Garmin watches in my opinion. If you sleep with the watch and wear it 24/7, it can for instance warn you if you are getting sick before you even spot any symptoms - the body gets into a stress mode first without you noticing and the body battery shows that. Also, if you drink the nigt before, or train to hard, the BB shows that and gives you a hint to take it easy... yeah, you probably know yourself in this case, but it can be still useful.

@@TomislavLifelovero Agreed. The body battery has legitimately predicted serious illness. It’s been at its lowest multiple times prior to and during times when I’ve had the stomach bug and the flu. It’s wild!

Hello! I bought a Garmin Phoenix 7X watch. When choosing strength training during a workout, the watch does not count active calories. Also, in general, daily calories are not counted. Now the average figure reaches 2700, although before that there was a Phoenix 5X watch and with the same daily activity, 3200+ came out, which is more like the truth, since I go through more than 10,000 steps a day, plus strength training 4-5 times a week. How can I have only 250-350 active calories with this mode? I dug up almost all the functions in the watch, reset it to factory settings, but the result is the same - the watch does not count calories during training (at the same time, when choosing Walking, calories are counted). Please help me solve this problem. Thank you in advance!

Great Review! This made my mind up and opted for the 7 Saphire Solar… mainly just for golf and health… I know it can do much more than what I need , but I wanted something premium and not a simple gps Golf watch 😂👍

Still happy with my Fenix 6X Pro Solar Titanium. But I cannot get more then 10 days out of it. Don't want to limit functionality for battery saving, why else do you have it if not use it ?

Hi, Nice video, thanks, Just bought the Fenix 7 solar, still have the Fenix 6Pro, A Bad thing that i've realized only after buying the Fenix 7, and i'm still not sure about how it will impact on my daily use, is it's storage size... How is it possible that the new Fenix 7 has only 16gb compared with the 32gb from the older model Fenix 6 Pro?!?! What's your thoughts on that? Thank you.

Better battery, built in flashlight and red light for stealth, amazing battery bump, more built in storage, Bluetooth for earbuds, bigger screen, better Wi-Fi chip inside and feels nicer on the wrist for me

It needs a laptop integration function. I should be able to fully customise my watch from the comfort of lap top by removing or add functions, downloading and analyse my data without having all the fiddling with just the watch menu. I want to keep the watch as simple as possible (when I'm exercising) and still be able to access the broader functions at my leisure on much larger tech platform (like my laptop) I can also plan my workouts on my laptop, download it and execute the exercise plan with a minimum amount of fuss.

@@pacemaxpro I am not surprised. I guess non-equestrians think we just sit on the horse but it actually requires a lot of muscles and strength, especially strong core muscles. And try picking up horse hooves or horse tack! And grooming. 😁 🐎 My Ignite is dying so I am probably going to buy that new model. The Pacer Pro. Can you tell me how long a watch like this is supposed to last? Because the Ignite was my first exercise watch. Had it since April 11 2021. And this past week the touchscreen on it has stopped working. So it lasted like 14 months? Is that normal for a $199.00 watch? Last few days when I did my exercise I had to tap on it with my wrist multiple times and then it turns on "core exercise" (which is not what I am doing - I am walking but I cannot get it to change to Walking or to anything else for that matter). And the main screen is stuck on the heart rate so cannot scroll over to see the daily activity or anything else. Plus while it is recording an activity I cannot see the time either! Last Sunday I had tapped on "walking" over 300 times without it turning on. That was before it had gotten stuck on "core". It did that on Wednesday.

Haha, it's a tough decision! I like the Fenix more but I have always been a big fan of the series. The 7X is the best Fenix ever to exist but admittedly, the AMOLED display of the Epix looks pretty good. Not sure about longevity

Isn't it possible to set POI form the phone to the watch? That would be nice for biking around in the city. Because when I am on my bicycle I put my phone inside the backpack and it's pain to navigate.

Your video is great for a potential buyer, my biggest worry considering how much this watch is, is how dim the screen looks?! If you were out in daylight riding your bike, will you see this screen if you glance down? My Current watch has a great screen, but a dreadful interface and an even worse battery life of 1.5 Days IF YOU ARE LUCKY! Lols

Great review. I'm torn between 7X Solar Sapphire and Tactix 7 Pro. I know it's just a matter of design since nobody outside the military uses tactical features. Since you have worn fenix 7X for some time, how is the bezel coating withstanding abuse? From the video it seems fine, some minor white dots which can be just dust.

Thank you! Both the Fenix 7X and the Tactix 7 Pro have Titanium bezels so I'd think none is better than the other. The bezel on the Fenix 7x is in pretty good condition to me! 👍

Smart alarm, which considers sleep phases, would be expected in such level of watches. 6pro doesn't, what about 7 series?

I would like to say yes but who knows? Garmin is lagging behind the competition with sleep features. I really like the silent smart alarm on Fitbits; they are especially great if you share the bad with other people and don't want to disturb them when you wake up. I'll ask Garmin if they are planning on introducing a smart alarm and get back to you 🙌

I don't know about Europe but in America if you get a capital One card (credit or debt) you can sink that to the watch. Maybe one of your credit cards will be compatible?

I prefer the Fenix 7 but I know a lot of people like the Epix 2 more because of the AMOLED screen. I think I'm going to wait three years until the Epix 3 is out. :) Hopefully, by then, Garmin would have worked out how to combine the Power Glass with an AMOLED screen without making the watch exorbitantly pricey.

Hai gays i am using finix 7x. My experience for health related especially (sleeping, heart rate sensing, stress, etc) purposes don’t bay this watch. This watch good for only sports purposes especially gps and battery life.
