the mk3i also have communication with the scuba tank so see how much air and minutes you have. also you can see where you/re partner is swimming. and send messages in the wather. i have the mk3i. but i think for my wife the fenix 8 will be enough. and is much cheaper then the descent.

Well If Fenix 8 have diving option, I will probably upgrade from my Fenix 6, give my descent G1 and enyoy it for a couples of years. Otherwise, my next move will be the Apple Ultra 3.

Im thinking the same, I currently have a G1 descent, but i need to know if this watch has all the dive features like the g1. Im okay with the 40M dive rating, but want to make sure it has NDL and all that important diving stuff. Will have to wait for future reviews, its up for sale right now on the Garmin page so I'm sure the reviews are soon to come.

I wouldn't think that's the case. If they offer an LTE connected model (no indications of that yet) then if you choose to use that feature it would have a subscription cost, same as the 945 LTE, Bounce, InReach, etc, but there is no indication that Garmin is changing their business model to have subscriptions for software or hardware features. @@DaveDoesFitness wouldn't the LTE be as same as it is with samsung etc. i pay like 3$/month for an extra e-sim to my tele-company, no need tor a subscription to garmin, if we ned a subscription to garmin and pay for extra e-sim, it would not be okey.

40 or 100 meter or what even spec a watch has does not mean actal 100 meters depth. It's way of telling what pressure the watch can withstand. For example if you move your hand fast at 100 meters depth, the watch will feel a higher pressure on one side and you risk of water coming inside. I know for mechanical watches that for example that 5 meters in real life is not more than splash proof or for showering.

Hey, thanks for watching! I haven't heard anything about other forms of wearables as of yet, but recently made a video saying I *hope* Garmin makes other forms like straps or rings. A refreshed HRM strap would be nice as well!
