Garmin fish finder interference from Old Town Autopilot 120 i-pilot trolling motor

Old town sent me a ferrite bead to try on the power cable near the control board of the ap120. I haven't installed it yet. I will try and remember to post an update when I do.

Same problem here with the 73sv and 93sv UHD. Tried different mounting plates and mounting positions. Tried the ferrite beads ( bought a whole bunch from Amazon and put one on each beginning and end of the cable) but the problem is still there. Ran transducer cable away from the power cable. have separate batteries running the fish finder, and the problem is still there. Called Minn Kota, no reply. I called Garmin, and they said to try things that I have already done. No solution. Called Old Town, and they said to try the ferrite beads. Same old shit. No solution. I Hope Old Town is watching and reading all the comments. They said in ICAST that this is a perfect kayak. I say NOT. They need to fix this problem.

it's frigging bullshit because when I talked to Johnson Outdoors (old town) they literally told me that their engineers were aware of this issue.

Same issue here with a UHD 73sv. Added the bead and zero change. I SPECIFIICALLY asked Johnson staff if the UHD 73sv was not recommended due to this video. They said it would be fine. I just know and prefer the Garmins. Looks like I need to decide between swapping the FF or just getting rid of AP, which is on the table. This might be the last straw. Has anyone ever heard of this issue with brands other than Garmin?

Have you been able to resolve this issue? I have a Garmin 73sv and an Autopilot 120. I have the same issue. I really don't want to do a track mounted transducer arm. My ferrite does not help the issue.

Track mounted transducer arm does not solve the issue. I was going to try the ferrite bead, hoping that would work.

I’m having the same issue with my AP120 with my Garmin UHD 93 sv. I have another Garmin echo map 93sv and tried that as well. Both have interference but uhd is worse. Strange when I first got my ap120 my Garmin worked well for 2-3 months.

Same issue here with Helix7 Autopilot120. Tried all the same 'fixes' stated here, not fixed, worst interference I have ever seen on a fish finder

Just got the motor back, they install Minn Kota Trolling Motor Part - INTERNAL GROUND WIRE-FUSED W/TERMINALS - 2880310. I hope to get on the water soon. I hope this fixes it
