Garmin Instinct - Using Track Me Activity

Enjoy your videos on the Garmin Instinct!!! You do a great job of explaining all the features of the watch and this particular feature....Track Me... is now my favorite activity. I metal detect as a hobby and I use this activity to track me as I search fields, parks etc. Now, I can add my detecting trip to Garmin Explore and see where I detected and where I need to detect the next time I am at the same area so that I do not cover the same area again. And it gives me details of how far I walked and the time I spent detecting the area.

I wish it had a buggy or lawnmower mode, I do garden maintenance and it hardly counts my steps when mowing lawns.

Thank you for the video. Sadly, I just bought the Garmin Instinct Solar (Tactical) and I cannot add a jump rope counter ... from the Garmin Connect IQ App - my watch is not a compatible device. Go figure! I took 6 years to buy a Garmin and my staple exercise is jump rope and I cannot track that activity; however, I guess I can do a basic Track Me ...?

Do you have the Instinct or Instinct 2? I am assuming Instinct as the Instinct 2 should be compatible with Garmin Connect IQ. If the Instinct, maybe you could return and get the Instinct 2 instead?

Your videos are great!! Thanks for posting them!! Got a question....Can you change the Distance traveled in Track Me from miles to feet? For example, wanted to walk a distance of 900 feet from a starting point to a end point. Had to try and convert tenths of a mile traveled to feet traveled. It is not as accurate when doing this. Just wondering if it could be done. Thanks!!!

Can i add waypoints along the way in this mode? Im actually wanting an activity rhat tracks me the whole way, but then i can ping on and off animal sightings ive had if possible 😂

Yes you can add waypoints along the way during the activity. You can actually do that on many activities not just the track me activity. For example you can do the hunt activity and record scrapes, tracks, etc. you have encountered. Hope that helps.

Jumble, I recently bought the Instinct and the initial Activities display is different from your video. It depicts some mountains and says "Choose Your Activities". Secondly, the list to select from is extensively long. Lastly, it also does not display the 4 Dots or ADD at the end of the list. I'm wanting TRACK ME to be a FAVORITE and I'm not successful. Thoughts?

Any reason why my track me doesn't give me a map to see the movements on the app (I went deep sea fishing) ? Is it perhaps because I was on tje water and not the land ?

Yes, it is called "Move IQ", you can turn it on or off.
