For the interior view, it’s in color too, right? I also think from the video that the headlights of the car behind you are so bright that they obscure the details of the scene. Is there a way around that or is that just how it is?

I just purchases this camera and hard wired it into my car however, when I start my car I have no clue if it's recording or not. Will the camera automatically start recording when the car is on. From there can just use the voice commands to either save a video or take a picture?

I just installed a Garmin Tandem, and so far I'm disappointed. I can't read any license plates when viewing directly on my computer, and even larger business signs are difficult to read, so I'd say given the wide angle lens (not 180 degrees despite claims, but still wide) just too much gets crammed into a picture. Also, I'm still struggling with putting together an actual movie like your video. Trying to do that all within the drive app and exporting it to the phone doesn't work that well. But, the poor resolution and difficulty reading license plate numbers or text of anything while on the road has me wondering why I spent $300 for this instead of $40 for a cheap Chinese cam.

Is the audio you recorded, the actual garmin mic recording? If so, the audio seems good to. This is important as I'm uber driver and need good quality audio.

I have the Garmin Dash Cam™ Mini and I always have a problem connecting with my iPhone 10. I have to keep try 3 or 4 times before it gets the connection with my iPhone. I hope they fix the problem with this Garmin Dash Tandem.

I have this Garmin tandem. I have it installed with the parking cable. Worked fine for months. Now for some reason the camera is also stays red as if it's trying to save a video. So, after finding some things online I replaced the SD card with a brand new which I then formatted but, the camera seems to still be trying to save a video and the light stays red. Any suggestions?

Hi can this camera be placed on the passenger side. We have Subaru Forester 2021 with the eye sight prohibited area in the middle as it may obstruct eyesight operation for any device sat in that area.

pity you opted out of showing the parking mode facility. It's what I really want from this cam. I need to catch a vandal inflicting damage to a car and exterior house cameras are not an option.

Check out Viofo A139 3-channel. For the same money as this Garmin you get a rear camera and a better interior cam that records in 1080p. It has low bitrate parking mode as well, so you won't miss a thing.

Does it have emergency recording when the car is off and in park? Also, does the adhesive holding the magnet to the windshield, get soft and fall off during hot temps? What about removing the camera several times, will the magnet come off?

You will need a battery back up. The magnet is strong the adhesive is strong also. The only good thing about this camera is the magnet and the adhesive the camera itself is junk.

Can you leave the camera inside the car recording and watch the recording on your phone (with Garmion Drive app) far away? Or in other words, does the recording footage goes to a cloud which you can access from your phone (can be away) or does it go directly to your phone via bluetooth (has to be close)?

No it doesn't. What you need is a Connected Dash Cam. I'd suggest taking a look at the Raven Dash Cam. Its similar in price and has a lot of bang for your buck features.

I believe that you can but it needs to be hard wired to your vehicle battery and fuse box to do so and also requires a parking mode cable which I don't think is included. These additional cables will put the overall cost up a bit but I think it's well worth it. I've been doing a bit of research on this cam and it seems to tick all the boxes.

Watching this video and am seeing putting your camera into the primary vision area of your vehicle. You are creating yourself a blind spot. The camera needs to be put higher or to the far left or far right.
