Just picked up my venu3 45mm after the horrible Fitbit App update! I’m loving the user interface and even more the double battery 🔋 capacity. Great review!

Yeah I was very happy with the Venu 3. I'm glad you're enjoying the watch and thank you for the kind words

It's plastic, the buttons are cheap, and the operating system is laggy. The watchfaces are Amoled, but the Amoled screen from Huawei is way sharper. The download apps are all useless. So, what is exactly good on this watch? Is it because you don't know better? I'm just curious what makes you think this watch is good.
@FitnessWithFrost Жыл бұрын
Have you tried the fitness and sleep tracking at all? The GPS? The build quality might not be the best, but when it comes to fitness tracking, sleep tracking, and GPS accurately you really can't get better in a smart watch

@FitnessWithFrost I was wearing the Huawei GT4 before the Venu 3, and that watch is so much faster, better materials, and better looking. I sold the Venu 3 and bought the Huawei 4 Pro, and this one is even more better. Probably the Garmin has better health features but the operating system is laggy and that's a big deal breaker for me.
@FitnessWithFrost Жыл бұрын
That's totally understandable. Huawei typically does have a very competitive price point too. I hope you enjoy your new watch

I just checked the Garmin website and the Venu 3s does have Bluetooth phone calling and voice assistant support. The Vivoactive 5 does not which is $150 cheaper and roughly the same size at the Venu 3s. The Venu 3 series does let you repsond via old school # keypad type input when connected to Android.

Vivo5 also has an older sensor pf 4th generation venu3 got generation 5

I think I might have misspoke and I ment the Venu 2. The vivo 5 does have the older sensor, but that sensor is still very good

Correction: you can type messages I believe only for Android not Apple. At the bottom of the pre-built one is an option for KEYBOARD. You can type using old school T9ish keyboard, it's actually very quite efficient once you learn it again.

Thank you for your review. Agree with you, all points. Amazing watch, got the Garmin Venu 3 for the last 2 weeks, and it is impressive. ...I am a runner "always outside", and the Venu 3 is just perfect. I am coming from Fenix 7X (which is a Leopard by the way), but sometimes too heavy to bring with me (especially when I do not need maps and routing), and at work - The Venue 3 has become my primary watch, elegant, smart, light... but with the heart of a lion.

I'm went back to the Galaxy watch 6 myself... But I'm starting to miss the Venu 3 a good amount. It's such a great device all around. I'm glad you enjoyed the review

I had the Venu 3 but I hate how fast notifications disappear on the watch. I ended up exchanging it for a Samsung galaxy watch 6. I love the galaxy watch!!! It may not be as accurate as a Garmin but even Garmin says their accuracy is just an estimate of your overall health.

Hey! Since I see you take your time to answer peoples questions I'm gonna give it a shot! First of all, great video! Very detailed and explained really well! Now for my question.. I am searching for a new sports watch since my Venu 1 is really getting old now.. And I can't decide between the Garmin Venu 3, Forerunner 265, Forerunner 956 and the Samsung Watch Ultra.. As far as I have searched the web they are all pretty 'similar' but different at the same time.. To give you an idea of my workouts: I go to the gym 5-6 days a week(Ive been doing this for 12 years and this is my priority), I try to run 30-40km per week, I try to get my 10000 steps in and I sometimes do some indoor bike riding, walking,.. I also wear it all day every day. I asked ChatGPT and he says the Venu 3 is the best cause its the best for tracking strength training. Which watch would you think is best for me? Thanks in advance!

Hey! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I'm currently trying to get back to posting again. I would agree with chat GPT on this one. The venu 3 is just a solid fitness tracker that also has a great screen and feels for like a smart watch than the Forerunner series. If you were more if a runner i would go with the Forerunner. If a slight hit on accuracy and a significant hit on battery life doesn't bother you. The Ultra is also a great watch. The Ultra is going to have a lot more smart watch features like even texting if the watch without an issue and it will be more durable. Hopefully this was helpful

@@FitnessWithFrost Hey! Yeah I checked out more of your videos and they all are equally as good, keep it up man! 😁👌. Yeah my focus is more on the fitness/bodybuilding part of training. But I try to train hybrid so I go running 3 to 4 times per week too. But like you say, the little difference in accuracy is not a problem for me. The reason I like the Samsung Ultra is cause it had loads of little things that seem very nice to have. But the Venu 3's battery life and I now use a Garmin too makes me want to get a Venu 3 haha. I get a discount on both watches too if I order it on my work. The Ultra I can get for 499€ instead of 699€ and the Venu for 450€ instead of 500€.. Thanks for the quick answer! 😁

Garmin Venu 3s has a lot of miscounting on Floor Climb. One floor should be walking down one floor and back up. About 3 meters down and back up. When I use the watch sometimes it doesn't read anything. If the watch counts something, I usually have to go 3 floors for the watch to count one floor. It sometimes gets a little bit better if I stop at each floor for 20 seconds and wait for the altimeter to detect the change, but even that does not do the trick most of the time. The count should be based on the Barometer sensor. Either the Barometer is very poor or at least far too slow to detect changes. No matter if I do Calibration with GPS or Manually, the sensor is completely useless for the activity called "Floor Climb". I was told by the service person to clean the sensor with water, soap and/or alcohol and I have done that many times. The sensor is simply not usable for counting heights, although it should be done according to the instructions and what the service providers of the watch claim.

Your wrong. You can text respond with the keyboard. I had this watch for about 2 weeks and I was able to respond to messages via keyboard. It's an old school keyboard like how we used to text on old cellphones. It's under all the quick responses. Swipe until you can't anymore.
