I came from an Apple Watch 8. Currently, I have the Venu 2+, but I will definitely be trading it in for the Venu 3. Nothing compares to Garmin, and even though I am an iPhone user, I will NEVER go back to the Apple Watch. Garmin is just that much of an improvement

why Garmin is better for you? Im choosing now a smartwatch and can't make my mind between Apple Watch 8 or 9 or Garmin Venu 3
@AceAspie11.2.24 Жыл бұрын
@@misstornton3848 the battery life on Garmin is miles ahead of any Apple Watch. I can be quite forgetful at times (which I attribute - in part - to me being on the autism spectrum), and this is a BIG problem with the Apple Watch. You HAVE TO charge the Apple Watch every night, or every other night in the best case scenario. Otherwise, the watch WILL run out of battery. With the Garmin, the watch can last about a week average before you need to charge it (with always on display turned off). Therefore, it’s become a routine - something that is very helpful for me - to put the watch on the charger each Sunday morning. Plus, being able to track naps in addition to regular sleep is pretty useful as well. And lastly, as a more personal thing . . . I barely used any of the third party apps on my Apple Watch. And the native Apple apps were not really used much either, so the Apple Watch, over time, became a glorified fitness tracking device. Seeing this as a waste of money and product, I switched to Garmin after a brief - and abysmally negative - experimental experience with Fitbit. I get all of the fitness tracking abilities and none of the c**p I won’t use anyways, all in a really nice, battery efficient, and decidedly premium device. Needless to say, I’m satisfied.

Nice review. I'm an Iphone user but like rugged G shock type watches, so I bought a Garmin Instinct 2 Solar Tactical. So far so good and I'm loving my first ever smart watch. My Wife is also an Iphone under and I wanted to buy her a watch for her birthday, which is in Oct. I waited for the Apple event and was not really that impressed with the Series 9. My main gripe is battery life as usual with Apple. The Garmin Venu series really seems to hit the spot. This new Venu 3 looks like the one for her. Shes not a runner, but we do go hiking and it would be an all-round general watch. My Sister is a runner and she really likes her Forerunner. I agree that Garmin really are at the top of the game. I have an android and an iPhone. For android, I’d definitely go with the Garmin for fitness. However, Apple keeps adding new features, the heart rate monitor is one of the best on a smartwatch, and the GPS is pretty accurate. I’ve used the ultra and Epix Gen 2 and there’s no question that the ultra gives you more bang for your buck. Apparently this does well compared to the Apple Watch for heart rate tracking and I’m looking forward to seeing if that’s true.
@SammyGeek Жыл бұрын
Agreed for sure, but I bet Garmin captures a bunch of runners and athletes who are Apple users.
@iamGermaican Жыл бұрын
@@SammyGeek it does but Apple can always incorporate that stuff. Thankfully Garmin changed the heart rate sensor because even the Apple Watch SE provides more accurate data. Again, if you’re on Android, Garmin easily. For apple, Apple Watch does so much more and their fitness metrics are improving.

I was considering buying the Ultra, but it was the battery life that became the deciding factor. It is true that Apple sensor accuracy is probably the best of any smart watch. I'm an Iphone user, but used to be an Amdroid user. I was always a Sony fan, but wanted to try the Iphone. In the end for my needs, I bought a Garmin Instinct 2. I traded some features for the rugged look and huge battery life. If money was no option, I would have bought the Fenix or Epix. I still wonder if I should have stretched that bit further. Some of the sales for the Fenix are only 20% higher than what I paid for my Instinct 2 Solar Tactical, which is the top priced Instinct model.
@iamGermaican Жыл бұрын
@@Justyburger to each their own. I just bought the ultra series 2. I can’t always have my phone out and so the notifications (especially being able to reply to notifications) is important.
