If you had a Garmin 530W and just one Primary ADAHRS GI 275, would the 275 pick up Course Deviation indications from the 530W and display them to the pilot?

I am so happy to see many satisfied customers. However, based on the quotes I received the install cost options are extremely high. Wish it was a bit more middle-class friendly.

For the GI 275 ADI with ADHRS (necessary to drive the GFC 500), can the airspeed and altitude displays be inhibited on the ADI (the traditional ASI/ALT/VVI will remain in the panel, making the tapes unnecessary)?

Is it true that with a dual installation, the HSI instrument is limited to HSI and HSI Map? And that no other pages may be enabled like Traffic, WX, Data Fields? If so, Why?

Hi Margaret, you're correct, though the traffic and weather can be overlaid on the moving map with the HSI presentation. The HSI with both heading and course deviation becomes your primary reference for this information and is required to be displayed at all times.

Thank you Jordan your video is very helpful. I'm going to replace my AI and EHSI with a GI-275 System. About 6 minutes into the video you said " with these two units installed in this configuration as you see right here you can replace your entire six pack and this is because the gi 275 is serving as your primary source for air speed attitude altitude and turn coordination . . . " I have a S-TEC 55X that currently relies on my turn-coordinator - with the GI-275 w/ ADAHRS & AP will I be able to eliminate my turn-coordinator?

In the application you’ve proposed, the turn-coordinator is required to be retained to support the autopilot in your application. Though, it is compatible with the GI 275 AI to display the flight director and the GI 275 HSI for heading commands and navigation. ^DK

If I replaced my 6-pack with two of these, as your example shows, and then do my check ride for my Instrument rating- what happens when the FAA examiner fails one of them, as he is allowed to do? Can you quickly reconfigure the other to replace the one he failed? Realistically, I'd probably install four of them, the two you have mounted, then an Engine manager, and probably a fourth 275 for whatever. Could the fourth be easily set up to take the place of one of the other three should one of the other three fail in flight? Thanks.

Reference the queued mark in this GI 275 video to help better understand how reversionary mode works: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYixaK2KjNmZg9E In the scenario you mention with regard to four GI 275s, you could have your installer configure the fourth GI 275 to revert to the attitude indicator, should the primary attitude indicator become unavailable. Yes, the GI 275 is now compatible with GFC 500!

Every time you mention GI275, I turnoff, make it not so obvious and repetitive and I might have got to the end.

@@HugAviation watch it again, whilst I think it a wonderful piece of kit, it is the Complete unnecessary repetition of the GI 275 words .we get to know what it is called , It is a GI275 an not need it repeated every few words and It is not required to keep saying GI275 because we realise it is a GI275, all the good ideas The GI 275 has it Does not needGI275 every few seconds. To sell a GI275 you show what is and what the GI275 does, It does not need to say GI275 again and again. Just saying. Repeating and repeating is not a good way of selling.
