I have a Chrony, Mag Speed and a Prochrono. I just ordered this and can't wait to sell the others. I mostly chrono at my local indoor range and this will be a no brainer for me. It will work for everything I do. Thanks for the code and apreciate your video.

Havent seen any real reports though on if this functions well at an indoor range. I know Labrador has a lot of issues indoor, so I expect the same for the Garmin

I had the same problem with my magneto speed, shooting across multiple platforms was a pain always setting it up. The garmin has been a game changer for ease of use and setup.

Ok.. just got one and couldn't wait to test it. I have a pile of magazines I use for a 'safe' place to point guns. I took my old (1936) Smith outdoorsman 22 which they later changed to the title of K22 and set the thing on a chair and fired into the magazines..... No.... I thought the thing was broken. No reading at all. Then I remembered my bullet trap. It supposedly handles even magnums. with it I could set up about 25' from the unit. All of a sudden it was catching every reading. Apparently 3' from the target is not far enough but 20' is.

Good overview, I think it was a little unfair to say the magnetospeed is more accurate. When you true your velocity there’s many other factors that are out of your control and are assumed like true BC. Garmin has very good radar sensors inside of this unit and I trust it to give better data than the magneto.

No one said the garmin was bad, but by design the magneto speed will tend to be more accurate. The two magnets measuring the bullet can achieve better accuracy and have less margin for human error in setup. But we are splitting hairs here. The garmin is a great product and would not say it’s inaccurate.

@surfish01 The same way I got my ACRO p2 for 430$. I refuse to pay full price for most things. Cabelas has huge discount codes on things and if you time it right, a couple of times a year they are applicable at the same time.

Never seen something on sale that much unless it’s a refurb or returned unit or you got some serious points or something. There is no reason anyone would sell it for that price. I agree with your opinion tho I will not pay full price lol. I hate to pay shipping as well. You can find killer deals if your patient

I don't even know how to use a smart phone. with my old chrono and this one... I write all the data including load and gun used and conditions at the time and include the target and put them all in binders. No getting my data wiped like what happened to hunters baby mama's cloud stuff. big deal is no case... a case would probly cost Garmin fifty cents? I handload and mostly shoot handguns in various calibers and bullets/loads and handguns take up a huge part of the pic a nic table we use plus all the crap we have to haul out.. This fits in my Haliburton case so no extra stuff to lug around. setup.... sometimes....most of the time we are shooting for fun... Like 12 oz sodas at 30 yards. I can just shoot as normal and still get readings and all from a 20 sec or so setup. Sometimes I won't even bother setting up a new session if the velocity difference is wide between the handguns. I mean... 900 fps ok... that is the 1911... 1400 fps... that is the Python..

Sold my Labradar with no regrets. No need to waste money on a 419 rail mount, it's an unnecessary gimmick. Tripod works fine, everything works fine.

Depending on what data one desires to collect, mounting the garmin to the rifle can be very beneficial. I wouldn’t call it a gimmick, but it isn’t required by most.

When I pay $700 for a chronograph you would think the date setting would work. You can't fix it. How stupid. Said it will be updated in a future software update. Laziness on Garmin's part
