i totally agree with the mainoo point!! we are quite literally wasting mainoo's best attributes (great close control, great at beating a man or two, really good in tight spaces) on hopes that he can be a good box to box that accompanies ugarte. we need a metronome beside ugarte if he'll be our true 6 and mainoo cannot be tasked with that.. mainoo needs to be as close to the box as possible in my opinion

As a Fulham fan your midfield looks strong on paper and Bruno is always dangerous. I think it hangs on your defence, if they perform you get a result, if they don't you might suffer. Agree that playing away from OT suits you, and our record at home has actually been quite poor this season. Think it could be a tight 1-1.

I got a question about our 2 Forwards To me it looks like they get different instruktions on how to play. Both are strong, can hold the ball, but Hojlund are told to pass the ball (Amorim said he needed to pass it on faster) Zirkse seems to get praise for holding the ball and I do think he is doing a better job. So am I wrong? and is there a reason to do this since Hojlund has 2 really really strong asiets.that never really come to play !. 1. He is fast, really fast but I have only seen him getting a long pass with a 1 on 1 duel outpassing a defender. Looking at his movement, I see he is constantly making sure he is onside, I cant remember being caught offside ... and since day one, he has done runs or initial runs time and time again. 2. He was bought for some impressive statistics, Holding the ball and completing offensive passing with a 90-95% succesrate. So he was creating time and space for wingers and runs. I would like to see him used in that way,. I think Amorim want him to pass faster and then make runs getting into scoring position, makes sense, but it is not really working out if he is alone in the box. For now Hojlund is clealy totally out of confidence (his 2 match winning goals as sub in Europa league was incredible but feels like ages ago and he has missed a few 100% chances so can't talk him into the starting 11 just yet. About getting the best out of Eriksen he can easily put in another 60-70 minuts and bring some calm, experience the team need especially at home. As I have said multiple times, putting Eriksen deep as DM is a horrible compromise that Conte invented for him in his Seria A winning second season in Inter Milan. Eriksen speed was a minor issue in Italian style of football, but in PL and in Man U him and Bruno suit each other fantastic. Maino and Dialo is the future of United, bot should not be expected to carry the club at such young age. Play Eriksen much more, let him pass on what he does does better than anyone, creating chances (not only assists) but setting the motion with the pass that sets up players around him. Eriksen does not need the glory, as a goalscore as some do (Bruno, Garnacho ect) he never complain, has sit on the banch, and finally used right I lthink he makes players around him better, love his calm demeanour and team support ... he joined for free, will, full fill his contract (and I think join Ajax in the summer, for free playing as the Ajax legends do, giving back to the club he won 3 League titles with, the cup and super cup once)

I would like to see a pairing of Hojlund up front with Zirkzee and Mainoo behind him. The rest of the team can stay the same. Up front we need players who can beat presses (Zirkzee and Mainoo) and a no nonsense striker who just wants to shoot the ball (Hojlund). Sometimes too many passes, not making the needed runs have been the problem for United this season. Zirkzee can then be the target for long passes because his holdup play is better and Hojlund can stop fighting with the opposition's centre backs.

For a majority of Kobbie Mainoo's youth career, he was an attacker. He's been pushed to play and possibly develop into holding midfielder and it hasn't really quite clicked. With better suited options in midfield Kobbie should be moved to play as a CAM.

Nothing to do with training. - shaw injuries started 2015 with double fractures.
