Sometimes I get so frustrated watching your videos. You drove 1.5 hours to Garner State Park and did nothing but drive through the park. You spent 20 minutes talking about no cell signal, how busy the park is during the summer, and named the park over and over. Growing up in Texas, my family used to visit Garner as well. Like you, I attended the dances at the pavilion Friday and Saturday nights. I remember ordering a bottle of Coke and standing around scared to death to ask that pretty girl across the dance floor if she wanted to dance. I also remember leaving the dance hall to walk down to the Frio River to hear its water flowing over the rocks, and enjoy the moon's light shimmering off the cold water. When you mentioned stopping and looking at the river, I was finally happy for something to happen in this video. I was excited thinking about possibly seeing the river flowing over the dam. A wonderful memory from childhood. Instead, you drive by the river to only complain about no cell service. You passed one parking spot after another where you could have parked, and walked only 100 feet to show us the river. You could have shown your audience the stunningly beautiful Rio Frio! The biggest disappointment was when you drove into the parking lot of the Pavilion and talked again about the dances on the weekends. I could see the sidewalk that you could've walked to the dance floor to show your audience what you had been talking about. Instead, you just drive on by and talk about cell service. Next time you drive to Garner State Park, would you actually show us the park? Oh, wait, "you do you".

You sound like someone who should get out and make a video of his own instead of whining that someone else made a video that didn't cover what you had hoped for. As they say, want some cheese with that whine?

@@Frank-Jamesone of the reasons these nomad channels are so popular, is that there’s an overwhelming majority of folks who watch these videos because either they’re either physically too disabled or too poor to travel or they’re looking after after their bedridden loved one(s). I’m killing time reading comments & typing while waiting on the Frio footage, but now can end it & move on to Texas Tiny Adventures.

I’ve thought about it, & Rusty may have had second thoughts about walking down to river at his age, & then not having a cell signal. Probably best that he didn’t risk it. I’m considerably younger, but there are times that I don’t feel comfortable rollerblading.

AT@T is the only carrier that works out there, always had to turn my phone off or it would drain the battery searching for a signal

Thank you for the video Rusty. I have always wanted to go camping there. We had our senior class trip at Garner but of course, as always I was grounded and my dad did not let me attend. 😞

RUSTY, You don't have to drive to a place, to know if there is reception. All you have to do is google. Antennas near ( and type in the place you wish to know ) air Still enjoyed your video. Just thought this would help.

NOPE not in the park. Been going for years and still no signal. My sister had A T & T once and she was able to get weak signal but only up on the bluff overlooking river valley.

Texas is huge - You can fit 5 Englands in Texas. It has every type of environment. It has mountains, desert, sandy beaches, forests, swamps, prairies, plains, hills. But this is hill country in the video.
