I am definitely not a fan of dark screens on motorcycles. Tinted I can live with (my bike even came factory with slightly tinted one, though I switched to bigger clear one), but on this bike it really goes well with the fairings and is not sticking out like a sore thumb. Definitely not the fan of flames on cars or bikes, but at least colors are working well together.

I would love to know the reasoning of everyone's hate for dark screens. The screen in itself other than deflecting wind plays no role for me. Is it because of lighting to the cluster/gauges or another reason?
@dancarlos12162 жыл бұрын
you cant go fast with a dark screen, you cant tuck and still see through them.
@dannyfigueroa80922 жыл бұрын
@Dan Carlos ok other than the fact that the wind screen is only so high even with a double bubble and you would have to have a small ass head to fit below the top unless you are speeding without a helmet, the complaint is not being able to RACE with a dark screen in order to see? Being devils advocate here you aren't supposed to be speeding on normal roads in the first place so that would require you to be at a track which in itself has entirely is own rules. That being said as I also do speed from time to time, I can see above my double bubble dark screen perfectly fine on the road. So I guess I'm still at a loss.
@dancarlos12162 жыл бұрын
@@dannyfigueroa8092 If you cant tuck below the screen and see out of it, you won’t beat someone that is. At 100mph a soda can sized area robs 1hp, so imagine how much hp you’re losing through wind drag.
@dannyfigueroa80922 жыл бұрын
@Dan Carlos I get it, maybe it's just me. I refuse to act dumb on the streets when I have kids to come home to so racing and dark screens isn't really my concern. If I'm getting into that type of a tuck I'm usually all on my own somewhere away from other people. But I get your opinion.
@dancarlos12162 жыл бұрын
@@dannyfigueroa8092 It's not an opinion it's just facts, I'm not saying it's smart to race around all the time either, but we almost all do it to an extent. I mainly just do track days. It is my opinion however that dark screens look tacky, they make the front end look too bulky and almost every street rider has one, so it's not unique either.
