Hey man, hope you recover to the old you. I had the "same" problem about 10 years ago, had to learn how to eat, sit right up and walk again after a 2 month coma and 2 year recovery. After about 5 years i slowly started riding again and today i still do even with a leftfoot that doesn't co-operate for 25% and with a lot of pain, So don't let Anything Stop You from doing what you Love to do! Always fight back (like i did)👍

On my way to work i got side swiped by a bakkie on the onramp. Recovery is not always easy but if you remember you are a survivor and not a victim your head is in the right place. Titanium headers are stock with this year gsxr1000. This thing was so overpowered in the days that they had to make new restrictions for roadbikes.

Jup and today you can have a 236 hp bike on the road (Ducati V4 with kit and Akra) but I know they had to make restrictions because it was insane in 2006. This was the first attack on 180+ hp on a production bike. Unthinkable 15 years ago😅

I had a similar accident with my k5 and I thought the frame was ok because I couldn’t see any cracks. When I went to Suzuki to inspect it with the special paint, there was a crack…. Now I’m waiting for a new frame from Japan. It will be here in Greece at the end of October. 4 months to travel from the factory to Greece

I crashed my k5 as well or should I say someone hit me and have kept it cause it was mint but like you I don't know if the frame is damaged. Bike shop said it is good. Curious who or what Suzuki location you spoke with. I live near the Brea corporate office but only got the runaround for getting a bike inspectikn

@@chris092183 hello, you should go to an official Suzuki garage. They use a special paint which is used to see if there is a crack. I went to official Suzuki garage here in Athens Greece. There is no other way to see the crack

2006 gsxr 1000 came stock with titanium headers its very popular upgrade for gsxr 750 and 600. I have those headers on my 2005 gsxr 750

Busy busy rebuilding GC! That Suzuki was incredibly dirty & you’ve turned it around already! Poor Doggy, she still a puppy mucking around & slipped. Hope she’s ok? Wet brick paving is bad. Mate, you need time to arrange your fantastic new workshop & do all the work yourself. Kudos champion for doing all this for us!👌🙌⭐️💪💪 Keep it up & take care brother 👍

These are stock titanium header's...it's from the factory. Watch out for any cracks in the front part of the frame...it was prone to crack....and Suzuki had a recall done with a brace on it....also it has a recall on the front brake master cylinder ..check with local Suzuki dealer...if those recalls are done...if not do them...it's free.

I replaced my front master with a brembo rcs19 and it made a world of difference.

@@Adrenalinez06 what is the diference exatly? just got a k5 and the brakes are very mushy compared with the r1 i had

@@MrPLAYER0206 replaces the stock master cylinder with a brembo master cylinder, it has 3 settings for racing, with increasing clamping pressure. I can lock up the front wheel with one finger. Huge difference. My stock one was worn out. Really happy with the improvement. I also replaced all the brake lines with Speigler braided ss.
