I marched Sousaphone for Alabama A&M 04-08 and was the section leader from 05-08. I've got to say, that this is the best group from SU that I've ever heard! They've massively improve in power, tone, articulation and intonation. This is nice right here man, keep it up!

For years now folks said that those fiber glass tubas was trash and the players too! They playing on full brass now and they are making so much progress , they don’t sound bad at all . Keep up the good work I know next season y’all gonna unleash once you guys find the foundation

I really think they don't like all the hype dawg team is getting so yea I think they did it to say "hey we here to" .....I must say they do sound good tho.it would be interesting to see online section battles, that will be something interesting to see now that the football season is over.

Thing is, them jokers were technical even on fiberglass. None of their basslines were static they were always moving but fiberglass limits your tone quality to a degree.

@@Tubastein1 right..I never realized it but I worked with a guy who marched for SU, and he told me their tubas have to be beast, because on all of SU's songs, the tuba parts are constantly moving, I had to listen to a few clips but he was right.

Man so many people judge tuba sections based on fanfares alone and not the overall production which is sad. Truth be told there were some bricked notes in this clip but it didnt take away from my overall opinion of this section because of everything else they do.
