Your pen and paper recommendation really helped...I often relied on "the watch to later list I made"...but I found that it took me more time to come back to listen to the whole tutorial. Thank you :)

@@GarrettNoganAcoustic A lot closer than I was before your videos. :) My wife has been making sure I practice. I print the lyrics of the songs out and then write down the chords you say over the words. Never in a 1000 years did I think I would be able to really play songs (close enough that those listening would recognize them.). Thank you again for these videos. Be blessed.
@GarrettNoganAcoustic4 жыл бұрын
haha yes sirrrrr! That's how I started, too. Only I would hand-write all of the lyrics for some reason haha...look forward to being a part of your journey :)

Thanks for another great tutorial. Question - could you do a full play through at the end of your tutorials? That would super help to see everything put together not just in pieces because the transitions between sections can sometimes be hard to work through without an example. You do a good job in this one and would love to see the full thing in other ones.
@GarrettNoganAcoustic3 жыл бұрын
Keyon! My brotha! Lemme see what I can do man. I don't want the videos to be like 20-25 minutes long lol I'll try and focus a little more on the transitions in future lessons for sure. Thanks for the feedback brotha! Hope you are well :)

How often do you have to read sheet music for guitar? Do you have any tips on learning to read
@GarrettNoganAcoustic4 жыл бұрын
Hey Brionna! Good question! If it is a song I've never heard or a song I don't know very well, I usually always look at sheet music until I memorize it (this is what I usually do for worship at our church). I don't have any awesome tips for learning how to read music. I wasn't really classically trained so I just figured stuff out along the way! I have a video I recently made on how to read chord charts and music. This is what I did when I was learning. It might help you out a little bit as well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/onfSioWXgKenZsU
