A wonderful, kind, gentle man...have been listening for the last 30 years. This old Brit and his old Dad used to listen to him on long sea voyages in a small sailboat...he was a true companion in the dark night watches in mid Atlantic....Keep going Garrison...a calm voice in a scary world.

Garrison Keiller - simply brilliant. I listen to him on the radio and I can turn the dial on my radio. He's just awesome to listen to.

Always enjoyed Garrison Keillor. It's freezing here in north Texas and I can't think of too many others to spend these days with. I have noticed that, as he ages, his humor becomes bolder. But that's what maturing allows. His speaking voice is what initially attracted me when I first, and accidentally, played with the radio dial in my car. I could not stop listening until the show ended. Been listening since then. That was in 1984.

Garrison Keillor is one of the best radio-hosts of the country in my opinion. He and his team bring humor and wisdom to even some of the most sensitive news.

It has become a habit for me to listen to the Prairie Home Companion and the Private Eye of Saturday Night. What a really great group of wonderful minds. I consider this people a very reliable source of concept. One of these concepts is as basic as it came to me as some sort of revelation or discovery of some type: “Outcome based morality”. Imagine all the meaning of the reality of this concept. It is reality testing “outcome base”…you can only press the rewind button in your mind and go back to visualize one of the essences of the executive power …compassion and care…and health care…and war and peace…how we are all in the same boat and yet some people seem to be trying over and over to turn a key into one particular direction that is opposed to what Judeo Christian tradition believes.

I only discovered the talents of GK last year when someone lent me 'A Prairie Home Companion' DVD. I love his use of the everyday humdrum issues of life. I guess he's an original but am I the only person in the world that can see an echo of Britain's own John Shuttleworth ?

Agree, Toby. If Keillor is guilty of any wrongdoing, he should pay the price, but if he is guilty of any sexual misconduct it is far outweighed by all the great things he has done. Prairie Home Companion, Writers Almanac, and his books on Lake Woebegone have been some of my favorite all-time Public Radio presentations. The accomplishments of this man with such a unique vision are prodigious and you, MPR, did great wrong taking them away and discarding Keillor like he is yesterday's trash. Shame on you, MPR! I would have thought you were above this kind of corporate insensitivity.

I love him and do not Know how to let my voice be heard regarding the attack, resulting in his being exiled from PBS. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is no one safe? Apparently not! And believe me, I am a feminist and despise assholes who victimize women OR men. I just do not believe that one's talent and life's work be banned do to an accusation. Not a conviction. An accusation. I shudder to see what other rights will be taken from us in the name of "fairness" and gentility! " what a bunch of lies! Probably failed extortion. If truth be told.

Keep Garrison Keilor on youtube. He is being grossly punished for an act of friendship, assuming he is being honest. I've never percieved Garrisson to be a dishonest man. MPR should explain it's draconian measures.

Indeed, Toby Blake. Minnesota Public Radio banned all of Garrison Keillor's programs, not just Prairie Home Companion, but the Writers Almanac as well. Garrison Keillor has also written many best-selling books as well. My point is, the fact that Keillor has never been proven to be guilty gives MPR no right to move so quickly is banishing all of his work. The man has accomplished so much good for our culture, and, regardless of whether he is guilty of sexual molestation or not, the good must never be forgotten.

Clair Duffy When he was still on the radio I had mentioned to someone that I thought it was a rebroadcast of a former show and I was told that you can tell an older one because he did not have the whistle in his voice and a more recent one was with the whistle as it developed as he got older just part of his aging. regardless I love to listen to him just like almost everyone else here the rest are trolls unfortunately

Thanks for this. We all have noticed how KZbin seems to have the highest rate of angry, aggressive, rude comments from people who clearly are angry and have trouble containing their rage.....and the rage might be about a song or a hamster.....its very over the top and nasty too.

Chris is right about the nastiness of people on KZbin. I console myself by thinking that the bile they spew up is purging them of some deep, serious inner problems. Maybe their spewing on KZbin is cheaper than paying for medical help?

I've been called all kinds of names just for airing my opinions on You Tube. I agree there is no excuse for the kind of verbal filth that comes from some people. Someone finally told me that these people are trolls who surf the internet and just look for someone they can revile, or they're mentally ill people. Some of them are in prison and have access to computers. I stopped airing my views because of these people. If you can't argue intelligently, don't bring your rudeness here, but unfortunately, that doesn't work either.
