When I was in school, we had a book fair. To do something new I saved up to buy a few books. This was in Scotland, and I remember how proud mother was, she told everyone that her son was such a nerd he wanted books with his pocket money. Long story short I spent my savings on three game gear games instead of the books, it broke her heart, one of those games was this. The other one was a zelda ii clone the other was psychic world, with psychic world I lucked out though. One the hardest playthroughs, my mother cursed them lol

Sonic Triple Trouble is my favorite Game Gear game out of all of them since it's a more balanced experience in terms of difficulty compared to 2 and Chaos. Along with 1, Triple Trouble is just fun to play. I also like a lot of the tracks in that game. Sunset Park Zone's music is especially my favorite.

I had this as like my first Sonic game as a kid, and used to play it for as long as the batteries lasted, desperately rubbing batteries against fuzzy blankets to get a charge because we were poor, lol. For years, the longest I got was the water level, and finally, in 2009, I finally beat the game on one full charge of batteries, and my GameGear promptly died for good on the "And Special Thanks to You" screen, and that always stuck with me.

In my opinion, because Shadow was canonically first created, he's the one that first had rocket shoes. However, I'm not sure if Sonic would have had a way to know about Shadow or his shoes, so it could just be a case of two people coming up with the same product/solution independently, which yeah, it happens.

Mecha Green Hill zone (hell yeah that soundtrack) shouldn't be called a "green hill zone" here. For one it isn't green, it has an entirely different aesthetic of level design, it's not a first level and it's not beginner friendly. It's "green hill" only in name.

I don't see it that way. This game is so average it was disappointing. Wasn't a more fair challenge than Sonic 2, wasn't as well designed as Sonic 1. It's smack dab in average land.

With a couple exceptions (couple of the bosses and emeralds) my main prob with the game was it just wasn't challenging enough, on the first run I flew through the game and got to the final zone. Not a cheap game either with a retail price of £25. I ended up doing self-imposed challenges to get a little more out of it by beating the bosses without rings or taking the underwater routes as much as I could on zone 5. btw on the 2nd zone boss you get a harder version(he has an extra segment) depending which pipe you go through just before reaching him. It's alright but felt like it could have been better if they spent more time and TLC on some of the level design. btw know what's funny? Sonic is (according to the cartoons at least) the "fastest thing alive" yet at the end of this game he chases the obese and middle-aged Robotnik on foot yet is unable to catch him.

Here's a trick: Finish a level with exactly 10 rings and with 24 seconds or less, to get the max speed (999km/h) and a extra life (don't work in some levels like Gigalopolis)
