A long time ago there was a guy in the Gmod and Wiremod community named Gunnanmon that made a really advanced one of these. He still has a bunch of old videos on KZbin. I don't know if his dupes are still around.

Cool build. It has been a long time since I've seen a physical missile made like this. Have you considered steering the missile's velocity vector towards the direction of the target position?

This is Garry's Mod, a physics sandbox built off the Half-Life 2 engine. I'm also using an extension for it called wiremod that lets you build circuitry and write code.
