Hi John The EasyPLC Software Suite is a great learning tool for automation. accautomation.ca/series/easyplc-software-suite/ Another series that may help you out is Node-RED. This free IoT enabling software series will allow you to communicate to the PLC, create an HMI, save to a SQL database, and view the database information through a spreadsheet. accautomation.ca/series/node-red-iot-enabling-software/ Communications using Node-RED can be through Modbus RTU / TCP, Ethernet IP, MQTT, etc. to the PLC. Thank you a lot for your videos, Whenever I hit the automatic assignment function, the tags are just assigned randomly which does not help me at all. Is there a particular way to configure the drivers so the tags are loading automatically where they need to be so I can save time?

Hi @elvisvx1 Thanks for the comments. I have not experienced the automatic assignment not functioning correctly. Are you ensuring that consecutive registers are being used that match the inputs and outputs that the simulator is using? Just a thought. Regards, Garry

After inserting the plc tags the same order as the simulator I/O , easyplc was able to automatically assign the tags in the target area. Your reply put my mind in the right track!
