Great video, Garry. I recently levelled up from three to four after launching my own UX design business (Shibumi Digital Experiences). It's a fantastic feeling. It's that moment you realise you can make your own way in life - when you no longer have to compromise on your dreams. A friend of mine who studied this at Cambridge University tells me that the emotional transition period between levels is known as a "liminal state". Kegan's Ladder is very similar to the work of Abraham Maslow who coined the Hierarchy of Needs in 1943, which, funnily, I reference a lot when designing user experiences!

In the past years i wondered what my biggest lifegoal was. Money started to become an importand topic, especially as I thought that personal freedom is what I really want. Hey Garry, Thanks for this amazing video. Have you ever tried Cognitive Behavior Therapy? It’s really wrapped around the concept of our inner child, inner adult, inner critic, and “copings”. Many of them are always debating inside. And CBT helps you to learn how to detect those different voices and understand their roots. Also, concept of inner maps is awesome. This CBT therapy helps me to “blitzscale” the company and make right decisions when I don’t know how I want to behave. Thanks again for this video❤️
