@@LilzRex on stockinette you would knit the right side and purl the wrong side, so every time you turn your work you switch back and forth between knit and purl. I understood in garter you just knit, never purl.

hello. thank you so much for posting your tutorials. it really helps a lot for those who would like to try knitting, as everyone has already said, but i wanted to add in so you know you've helped another before-beginner person. haha :) i'm crazy for scarves, and it's sad whenever i don't get the design/color in the stores and most importantly the length. i love long scarves cause i want to wrap them several times! so i decided to try knitting my own, and i'm really thankful for nice people like you who put up these vids to help us! anyway, i just want to ask, how do i avoid getting those tiny spaces on my soon-to-be scarf? I noticed it is not as tight like yours - mine is like, when i look at it from behind a light, i see the spaces in between the knits. :( i hope it could be as compact as yours.. how is it? should i knit tightly? like, when i make a knit, should i pull on the strings so that it is tight? or am i using the wrong items? i am using a.. worsted 4 estambre (as written in the package) and a 4.5 needle. is this combination incorrect? hoping to hear from you...i could really use some help here. :) i'm making a scarf for me and my brother, and i hope you could help me make some fun stuff for the both of us. :) thanks again! :)

Hello. I have one answer for you. When I cast on stiches I have it 74. Then when I start new row It is always more then 74 stiches, 76. Always like that. Why?

"How to knit garter stitch" Answer: "Simply knit!" ...um...you say this is for beginners? you should probably watch some other videos on people teaching how to knit. you didn't describing how to knit. you're not teaching anything by saying "simply knit to learn how to knit!" does this make sense? am I the only one who noticed this?

hello. I am trying to read a pattern for a sweater from lion brand and i am confused about something in one of the rows. Row 7 (RS): Sl 1, k4, place marker (pm), for Garter st (k every row) border, k to last 5 sts, pm for Garter st border, k5. I understand until the pm but i am confused after that. can you please help?
