Hi Brian I had the good fortune to be one of the sponsors of the First and Worst Event in Nashville to benefit the music health alliance. I don't know anything about the song I googled "I am a song" Garth Brooks and found he performed it at an ASCAP event in 2014. I ended the recording right when he finished to start recording Lee Brice the gentleman on the right. It was amazing to be in Garth's orbit that night he is one of the nicest most charismatic people I've ever met.

What an incredible night this must have been! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! I have watched these videos many times and keep coming back to "I Am a Song" because it's that voice that I fell in love with in 1989. He had been my favorite since then, but it went much further when he brought me out of a very dark place in 1993 , with "The River", when I was quite ill. It's been a spiritual connection ever since and this song gives me those same chills. My heart just keeps saying, "that voice, there is that voice; the only voice on earth that could reach me then, and still reaches me today". I hope some day, before my time on earth is done, that I get the privilege to thank him. He is an incredible person. Thanks again Ande Rasmussen for sharing such incredible footage with us!

Hello there sir. sorry to bother you but I had a quick question about this song. First of all, thank you so much for sharing this wonderful footage with us. I was just wondering the story with this song. Is it a "Garth" song that's never been released, or a cover of another artist/songwriter? The video stopped quickly, and I thought maybe he talked about it afterwards. Any information on this beautiful song would be much appreciated. At any rate, thanks for sharing.
