There is zero connection to Lauren or Tricia relating to Scottys invitation to become a member of the Opry. . Scotty & his family have been friends of Garth for many years and Garths daughter August also . Scottys day to day Manager Scott Stem was also Garths Manager for many years . as far as his induction is concerned those are details worked out with Scottys Team,his label and the Opry....many names have been put foreward to do that honor for him ..including Darius Rucker,Brad Paisley, Josh Turner,Charles kelly ..all long time Opry Members and personal friends with Scotty plus instrumental in his Career etc. ...who will be finally selected remains to be seen! Its been 12+ years since AI ....Lauren & Scotty have gone their seperate ways in the Industry only connecting briefly at Awards Shows .

Theres way too many negative things said for a while now about Garth but ignore his liberal views and just love his music ! He once held à concert on a Navy ship that had just returned from possible war. He had all the wives and girlfriends or guys who had female service personnel on board. He sang UnAnsewered Pray and hardly got to singing it when the entire audience began singing it !

The Opry has to do something country music has gone downhill from the country the stuff nowadays isn't country music. No steel guitars, fiddles banjos none of these in country music no more. Like the song said they had a murder on music roll it is still happening. It's sad. No days you don't even have to sing in key they can make it like you hit every note spot on. That's not singing that just out for money from the fans that don't understand you used to have to sing in key or you were gone. Very sad I liked Scotty since he was on Idol I watched him but his songs they allow him to sing isn't good for his voice. His to country sounding and Nashville music roll wants to murder anyone that has a country voice. Glad he got in as a member. I hope he will get better songs.
