Of you get a chance to see the video, it's more than about thanking chances, it's also about the special needs community. " we call them Strong. Those who can face this world alone, who can get by on their own. Those who will never take the fall. We call them weak. Those who are unable to resist the slightest chance that might exist, and for that forsake it all." Garth was a big supporter of Special Olympics

I think you will really enjoy "Shameless", "We Shall Be Free" and "Change Me" (about the Oklahoma bombing). All have strong messages. I remember in the 90's, no matter what genre you listened to, you were a fan of Garth. He did a free concert in Central Park in NYC with estimates of up to 500,000 attending.

I think one of the best lines in this is...Life is not tried, it is merely survived, if you're standing outside the fire. Garth Brooks has a personal dislike for social media and downloading. He believes in human contact and wants his music to be purchased and shared in person. So you have to go to a store to get it. Hope he eases up on that soon. Oh do The Storm instead.... a much deeper song than Thunder Rolls. It hits so much harder too. I always cry in the video. It is the about parents giving their child wings to fly. My favorite is the live performance of The River where the crowd takes him in and sails him across the crowd and when he needs to go back to stage, they turn him around and send him back. He never even loses his hat. He trusted them and they respected that.

I've always loved Country music as well as others genres. Garth's concerts are always fantastic! I attended my first concert in December 1992 in Knoxville, TN. My husband and I were huge Garth fans and wanted to go to the concert although I was pregnant with my first child (Tyler) who was six days overdue. Due to the uncertainty, we bought open floor tickets from scalpers outside the venue the night of the concert. It was absolutely everything I could have imagined and hope for!!! (Tyler held out until being induced a week later 😅) My second Garth concert was a few years ago at Neyland Stadium (open air in January). My non-country fan niece, Ashley, went with me. Our seats were on the very uppermost row in the stadium and it was COLD!!! The show was still OUTSTANDING! Ashley must have said "WOW, THIS IS AWESOME" 73 times! 😂 We both arrived home late that evening frozen to the core, worn out and hoarse! I'm glad you are "dipping your toes" into Country music!!!!!❤

Garth is awesome. He was scheduled to do the National Anthem at the Superbowl and show his video for We Shall Be Free at halftime. They threatened to pull the video spot because of lines like "be free to love anyone you choose" and Garth walked. They caved right before the game started and he came back and sang.

He was booked to do the anthem at the 93 superbowl. His deal was he would if they premiered the We Shall Be Free video. They were refusing to play it because of the footage used in the clip of starving kids and riots. Garth got changed and about to leave and they were trying to get an artist in the crowed to take his place. Jon Bon Jovi refused and no one else would step up so as he was getting in the taxi, they decided to go ahead and play it. From then on, they pre record it for backup incase it happens again

After he quit music he started his come back by doing a concert in Central Park. He was afraid no one would come. He had anxiety about it so much he closed the curtains so he couldn’t see the park. His wife, Sandy (before Trisha) peeked out, park was full, sold out and they were selling the overflow part. He broke the record for Central Park. At the time Manhattan didn’t even have a country station

One of your country crew here (although I love many genres). I've seen Garth live 3 times and he was the reason I started listening to country back in the 90s. I love me some Garth! So happy your beautiful wife had a chance to give her interpretation of the lyrics - that's awesome and I really enjoyed her comments and your interaction with each other. :) (Oh, and if you see this live, he used to actually have fire onstage. I don't know if he still does or not, but it was cool.) I think Garth's stuff isn't available on YT or streaming because he wants to keep control over it. That's just my opinion, based on no fact. LOL. He's a smart business man and if/when he ever lets go of it, the dollars will likely be huge since it's yanked down as quickly as it goes up. Everyone will want it. I'll be interested to see if your reaction stays up ... most don't. And a lot of YT reactors get fooled by someone that's a pretty good cover artist, but he's not Garth. Beware that guy.

I have seen Garth in concert on every single tour since 1991. I was at both of the shows filmed in Dallas that were shown on NBC back in the early-mid 90's. When he was younger, he never stood still, he was jumping, flying across Texas Stadium, etc. When I heard his first hit, Much too Young to Feel this Damn Old, I can remember telling my friends, this guy is going to be a huge. I was not a country music fan at the time, but I loved his voice. I did not have any idea exactly how big he would get. The concerts are still fantastic, fan interaction is amazing. If you can find video of the Texas Stadium concert from 1993, it does not disappoint! So many hits, and some of the deep cuts are just as good!!

They do covers like, “End of the Road”, “When a Man Loves a Woman”, “Listen to the Music”, “Amazed”, and so many more! They also have numerous original songs written by the band members. Their super bassman, Tim Foust, is not to be missed! Their high tenor, Austin Brown, is awesome! Please look them up & react to them! You’ll be hooked!

My last Pop/Rock concert was ZZ Top and my last country concert was Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn and Reba just days after I returned from the Persian Gulf. I then moved to the very NE corner of Arkansas and we really don't have concerts here much but when there is one, it's too expensive to attend. I once saw George Strait front row seats for 30 dollars each. I was going to drive to Little Rock to see Fleetwood Mac BUT 200 plus dollars a ticket I can't afford.

i have not seen the answer to the question about Garth's music not being on Spotify. When Spotify came to him and garth was reading all the TOS he hated what he was reading and refused to have his music their. This in turn caused Garth to create his own music streaming platform which went under really quick. Amazon offered to buy Garth's music platform and he gave Amazon music the exclusive rights to be the only platform where his music can be played, this also includes his music being on KZbin as well. That is everything in a nutshell

Garth based his shows off a x rodeo Bull and bronc Rider turned singer Chris LeDoux! Chris LeDoux would rodeo and when he was not riding, he would be in the parking lot selling his CDs that he made of his music! So he was a grassroots kind of singer! But would be running and jumping around on stage, fireworks going off and he even had a mechanical bull that he would ride at times while he was singing! One of his songs he would hand out red roses to the ladies! Here not too long ago Garth Brook had a tribute for Chris LeDoux! Chris LeDoux is no longer with us. If you're interested in hearing some Chris LeDoux try This cowboy hat, Every cowboy likes a little rock and roll!

LOL I just found you and you dove into all of the country music that I used to love before mainstream completely destroyed it! You can't find this quality of music and Country Music anymore oh, it's all fabricated and garbage. :-( I don't listen to anything on the radio anymore I only listen to Ryan Upchurch 100%! But it was so beautiful to see someone who could actually appreciate it and be open to listening to it! People like to say country music is sad or depressing or about boo-hooing, but it's actually storytelling and it's real life the stories that are told are real life and sometimes real life is painful but it's expressed in a beautiful way through country music! I just wanted to say thank you and I've subbed up and loving every minute!❤

BTW, I suspect most aren't really trying to get you to like country but those of us who previously discovered the genre and came to love it enjoy joining others as they do so. And many country fans enjoy numerous genres. I spend just as much time listening to things like classic rock and classic R&B while sometimes listening to esoteric stuff like folk music, pipes and drums (ancestors are mostly Scots so that may be genetic), Peruvian flute music, music from Oceania and on and on. So much wonderful music out there...can't imagine being stuck in just one genre.

He was a crazy man! Smash guitars, jump off stage/swing off ropes, he flew across Texas Stadium on a trapeze. Greatest entertainer to never do a Super Bowl and definitely top 5/3 greatest entertainers ever. He’s the all time highest selling solo artist in music history. And that’s impressive since people rag on county. 95% of all his music is fiddle, steel and he was known for adding more rock into his music. A lot of rodeo/cowboy, love and STORY songs. Something that makes County great is the story in the songs and he’s got them.

Garth Brooks view is that this is not only his passion, but it's business, and his livelihood. Very similar to Metallica, but more strict. This all started with Napster, and file sharing. When people were file sharing/pirating, the artists were losing a lot of revenue. Basically, Garth has something to sell, and refuses to take any less than what many platforms have to offer.

The most epic thing about a GB concert, is it will be a huge stadium , absolutely packed, like sold out and he might play a double to let more people come, and he can stop singing for a chorus, and you can still hear perfectly. Every. Single. Syllable. Those venues don’t have microphones in the audience. The sound system is all about spreading the music from tge stage to everyone in the audience. That’s a mic drop. This particular song’s music video is all about the Special Olympics. I think profits from sales even went to supporting such!❤️

Garth did several live specials for, I believe, NBC back in the 90's. I know most of his videos get taken down, but I think those live specials are fair game. Review the whole thing, or take single songs out for reactions. His first single, "Much too young (to feel this damn old)" will put you on his journey nicely. You might check out his Chris Gaines stuff, too.

I’ve been a Garth fan for decades, have every album and video, hands down my absolute favorite song is Learning to Live Again, it wasn’t a major song compared to many others. My second favorite is Red Strokes and the video is nuts for that one. Just to see the video it’s worth doing!!!! Back when the video was made it was pretty wild.

Hiiii!! I need to recommend The Red Strokes also by Garth. It is a deep cut. It's from one of his first album was if not the first. It's definitely from the first album of his I ever got for myself. And I'm pretty damn sure Trisha Yearwood does most of the harmonies for that album. A lot of the album's actually. Explains why they ended up having an affair and getting married later on

he used to have a pretty banging station on siriusxm that was a mix of country, rock and other genres, but it ended. i guess it was tied to his concert tour that ended

The greatest thing of having you both here is that we can catch one reference or the other 😄 It's the first time I watch a video with your wife and it is one of my favorites! I loved your connection 🤩 I like h metal AND country so the channel has been one of the subscriptions I enjoy most.

I have this Live 2 disc set and it is amazing! I have seen him perform in arenas on TV but have not been able to see him. Garth is the best live! His studio recordings don’t have the same fire. As to this song, the loved is loving life, and to love life you must live it. Anytime I need some inspiration as to that, this song helps me through it.

While this is the third video tonight with your wife in it, nice to know this was the first or first with country. As stated on other video, I see the love between you both and I think besides the message of country music, I can see you loving it as something to share with your wife, both in just listening and can see you both dancing together to many country songs. Been married 27 yrs later this year and wish that for you both and by sharing things, like this work/hobby it will help you communicate and get through troubles of life. Thanks for giving me a joy of seeing young love. Going to call it a night with a full heart thanks to you both.

Garth is absolutely the best concert I've seen across all genre's. My first Garth concert was in 1996 and he recorded Friends in Low Places for the live album that night. He still has the same energy in his shows today as he did way back then which is crazy. As to why you can't find much of his music on streaming services is because he has been against digital formats of music since the beginning and would rather someone buy his albums.
