I bought Punisher MAX issues 6-7 for my 18th Birthday, I already read the whole Punisher MAX series last year including the Marvel Knights run. I also read the Preacher series, I own a issue of that DC Vertigo imprint series, I plan on reading The Boys sometime. I’ve seen all of the episodes of the show but never read the comics before.

Andrew oh by way. If you read this i actually want to know garth Thought on Constantine the 2005 movie because is sort based on Dangerous Habits. I mean i know garth ennis is not fan of John anymore i just want to know because i feel this more of garth ennis adaption then let say Alan Moore adaption in way. Because is like saying let say this movie based on superman is more of Grant morrison movie then say Jerry Siegel. Or Joe Shuster

Funny enough, as a huge Punisher fan I really don't like Dirty Harry. Perhaps 'cause you can more easily tell that Frank Castle's a psychopath that no one wants to identify to, where Harry's glorified

Most people identify themselves with Frank, he`s a a cathartic anti hero, if you still don`t get that you are doing it wrong (im guessing you are a millennial). Same with Judge Dredd, Dirty Harry and Paul Carsey. Really don`t know what you are getting from Punisher, "being a huge fan" like you mentioned. And funny enough Garth mentioned that he stoped writing hellbalzer mainly because he didn`t like Constantine`s psychopath personailty though he still loves Frank. He`s still the hero and the good guy after all. Baron, Grant, Dixon and Ennis`s Punisher all share the same structure.

@@sudacagamer lol okay I thought you were serious until you mentionned Judge Dredd. If you take seriously what are obviously satire comics, then you're the one doing it wrong. No I'm not a millennial, and what would be the lesson to get out of it if I was, besides maybe that you're a boomer that made his time ? I'm just a guy who wrote a thesis about Garth Ennis' carrier, and he said that Frank is a crazy psychopath with a head full of broken glass that nobody ever wants to be. He's not the good guy, he's a man suffering from ptsd that found in his war against crime an excuse to keep on fighting 'cause it's the only thing that makes him alive. If you can't get that the guy is meant to be moraly ambiguous, to the point where some of his enemies are more human than him, then you missed the point (and some writers did miss it such as Edmondson). But comparing Judge Dredd (a leftwing satire of fascism) to Dirty Harry (the ultimate conservative hero figure), shows that you don't really know your topic at best.
