late 1980s Melbourne ,i applied for a job as a prison guard in Pentridge out in Coburg,the day i went in for enrollment with about 25 others a fella was bashed to death by The Russel street bomber,one off the older guards a scotsman said out loud The BBQ King just got hes right whack ,the tour of sorts was cancelled and i went back to working in an mechanics workshop ,never to step anywhere near a prison again

Must say I'd do the same thing garth and again being a kid from the 80s and the suburbs I was taught not to let anyone walk over you and you always look after your family being it right or wrong

Sounds like it was fair play but you shouldn’t of done it at a kids soccer game in front of families. Could of “bumped into him” anywhere.

Sadly, too many get away with manipulating and bullying others ,and to defend yourself and family these days seems to be the wrong thing, like we need to ignore crime and danger towards our family and leave it to the police , who are under resourced,, Justice is rare,, what happened to citizens arrests?
