Heroin Cooking & Drug Trafficking: Hooked On Heroin At 14 Years Old - Holly Deane-Johns | I Catch Killers
When Holly Deane-Johns was 11, she worked for her mum’s escort business answering phones. By the age of 14, she’d had her first hit of heroin in her bedroom with her mum. From that moment she was hooked. What followed was years of cooking the drug, dealing and using - as well as a stint in jail. But nothing could stop her getting her next hit. Not even attending her heroin addicted mother’s funeral in handcuffs.

I grew up with Holly and her siblings through primary school and high school. Her sister Amy was a close friend of mine. I always remember Holly as being a really lovely and kind girl in primary school. She is a true survivor. I am still sad when I think about Amy

What a great conversation The truth of how prison gives you a look at your loses and how you sum up your self worth is probably the start of real changes to change a life from crime ? It is very informative to hear about the predicament of a toothache because that pain is worse than child birth ! Horrific People should be reminded about some jails not supplying pain relief or antibiotics Lovely woman , how would she behave with other peoples children where drugs are concerned? How do you gain self respect and respect of others after such a long time with boundary less behaviour? 😊

It still feels unreal bcoz its counterintuitive. It's hard to get it in your head that you are going to be punished wo hurting anybody, for trying to feel better. The belief that we have rights , of choice ,pursue of hapyness self determination etc and the limits of those rights are/end only where/when you infringe upon someone else s rights ,is deeply engrained in all of us in the west at least

They are not sitting at a table talking. They're in different locations, and I've been told that using headphones improves the sound with some types of equipment in that situation. I didn't even think about it, because it's so common with podcasts. This is a podcast, even if we can watch them.

If I were the judge or person deciding who leaves the prison beforehand / sent to serve the remainder of sentence in their own country, I would have denied her. I would mark her file to be served as sentenced. Drug traffickers deserve the harshest of penalties.

Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone…. Hardly a drug trafficker mate, tiny amount. You obviously don’t know much as you would know if it was a trafficable amount, she would have got the death penalty. You not old enough to remember the Aussies who have been executed over in Asia for trafficking?
@ozicryptoG
@ozicryptoG Ай бұрын
@@byza101 She clearly states that she had half a kilo of heroine in her speaker and formed a conspiracy even after arrest, to remove it and take it on her person to the prison. The penalty for being caught would have been death. This is not about her sins. This is about the law of another country whom take these matters extremely seriously. She would have gotten 20 years for that amount here in Oz at the border. She got off lightly.
