Yea Garuda has been my all time favorite warframe for a long while now. She’s so well made, so strong and can do a little bit of everything. She’s basically like a hybrid between a weapons platform and a nuke frame, but doesn’t go too crazy in either category, there’s a nice balance.

Yup, those abilities are coded as weapon damage which means any and all weapon damage buffs apply to them, hence why they proc nourishes viral damage buff.

Garuda is definitely one of my favourite frames to play. Whenever I play her, I usually run a breach surge build on her (her 2 replaced by breach surge, and molt reconstruct for healing, build for range, strength) Its a pretty stress free gameloop, cast 1 for the dread mirror, cast breach surge, talons(i use the augment for quick cast), then if i want to nuke everything i throw the blood ball, or if not, i damage some of the enemies primed by her 2 and 4 and watch the slash procs and breach surge sparks cascade and proc each other infinitely

Her first and fourth likely are considered weapons not abilities because they use her actual talons from her Exalted Weapon, therefore they literally are weapons. Dread Mirror has her slashing targets with her claws to trigger. Seeking Talons fires her claws as a ranged weapon.

Mt favorite survivability for a build centered around her talons, or any melee frame in general, is a panzer with martyr symbiosis: The mod drains health from enemies killed around you and stores it and when you're about to die, you're panzer instead downs itself and heals you as well as granting you like 0.5-1 seconds of invulnerability, and it works no matter how much damage you take, wether is exactly enough to kill you or two million, you will survive, but still the mod is usually not that great as you would need to wait for your panzer to revive to use it again, and in sp you can get downed immediately after your panzer sacrifices itself, accomplishing pretty much nothing. Here's the thing: if your panzer has overguard, when the mod activates, it drains all of it's overguard instead of killing them, allowing them to start draining health again, pair this with pack leader which gives overguard to your pet, and you essentially are immortal as long as you keep hitting enemies.

@@VbzXD When Garuda uses seeking talons, she inflicts Starus Slash and marks the enemy for 10 seconds expedite suffering deals all remaining slash status damage in one hit this hit again inflicts a stronger slash status that can be combined into a single hit while enemies are marked

After a short while of playing garuda again, 100% put kavats grace in the exilus slot. No more hard landings after casting her 4 and it's the best out of all options. Preparation is unnecessary & just qol along with primed sure footed (you get that from her 1) and everything else. Also gloom is what I believe to be the best helmith for her since it provides healing on outgoing damage and a great form of cc if it starts to get out of control for any reason.

great guide! as soon as i got Garuda is like everything clicked, i love this frame. The fact that her talons cant use melee arcanes is just so stupid, like theyre so cool, but without the arcanes theyre barely usable in high level content...

Her Talons are absolutely one of the best melees in the game. Many, many millions of damage with the right build. I get single hits well over 100 million sometimes.

Thankyou for all the different builds. I wanted something different from gloom. One of my favourite frames I just don’t play her as much as I would like, correct me if I’m wrong but her talons are strange. They don’t count towards her kills as a frame in my stats and they don’t show up anywhere as a separate weapon so it’s a slight bother that my kills are going into a void 😂

Her 1 is a lot stronger actually :D It takes 10% of target's hp reduced by armor and viral works with it. Armor strip or 10 corrosive and viral (kuva nukor with nourish is great) stacks or magnetic instead of corrosive for shields allows you to 3-tap practically every enemy on any level in very quick succession (especially with some casting speed) and if you add her 4 to it you can proc ~35% worth of enemy's hp as bleed proc. Or you can just add more damage to blood ball this way

As someone who wants a minimum of buffs and abilities to refresh I still prefer PSF. In fact that's a large part of the draw for Garuda for me, as I see it she has i-frames on demand, guaranteed bleed procs on demand, infinite energy on demand, but if you just want to run and gun without really thinking her passive alone is amazing.

Eh I personally like kavats cus there’s some situations where it actually is really useful, mainly tighter maps with low ceilings. I spam her abilities a lot so it’s just overall nice not having to worry about hard landings.

I enjoy Garuda quite a bit but haven't pushed her into SP yet. For the hard landings that annoy me endlessly, I just slapped on Kavat's Grace because the awkward aimglide after every cast is too annoying. You lose an exilus slot though.

Dread Ward is an antiquated mod from pre-buff garuda, basically when she still had to be very low health in order to make use of the 100% damage bonus, dread ward likely would have allowed her to stay at that level of health without dying immediately. Problem is largely just that the dread ward is so inconsistent to set up and it DEFINITELY needs some visual/cue for it while active and when it's about to go away. No idea why DE is so bad at that stuff, like some how smoke bomb gets audio changes when I can tell if I'm invisible or not but the thing you lean on to literally not die the moment it ends has no visual cues other than a buff against a wall of 20 effects

Also, I think what would possibly make the dread ward useful, taking damage while unkillable (optionally while at nil health) charges up your blood ball automatically, as if the mirror where being struck. I think it could open up a new playstyle entirely instead of the lukewarm augment it is now

Your 4 isn't supposed to be dealing damage. Your 4 debuffs the enemies so they take slash procs from you damaging them with other abilities or weapons

Nope, it's not classified as a specific weapon, just a weapon, so arcane avenger works as well as stuff like arcane Arachne and vigorous swap, things that indicate a specific weapon type doesn't work

So tell me why do you have rolling guard on main build? I have used almost same build for sometime and I can say that 100% you dont need it. Better mod would be Quick Thinking. Also why do you need more than 100% duration? She doesn't have problems with energy anyway so recasting nourish and dread mirror isn't a problem.

U r thinking of efficency not duration. Duration keeps her 1 up longer building more damage on it. And you want low af eff. Mainly being the fact that when u use reconstruct the more energy u use the more she heals. Hope this helps

@@default5327 We have different playstyles then, my Garuda relies on 4 and bleeding enemies with weapons, with my set up you don't need more duration because you will only use her 1 as defensive tool.

You can aim glide after Garuda's shitty jump. Seriously I don't know who could've been so fucking stupid to implement this, and it's specially terrible at higher lvl content, but whatever. You can just get used to aim gliding for a sec after using it.
