Best announcing crew in MLB. Couldn't stomach ESPN crew & Fox this weekend. Mets are only team in MLB battle tested. Love this team & one of my favorite seasons since '86 Mets.

Love these guys. Thanks for having them on and uploading this, SNY. When and IF Lindor returns (and I believe he won't be back at all, playoffs or not,) he should begin as DH and leave the defense to Luisangel. JD is an automatic out at the dish and he looks lost and foolish up there. But I have no idea which is more stressful on a back, swinging a bat or reaching for a speeding ground ball. So I accept the possibility I may be clueless here.

Go back 101 games and the Mets are 65-36, imagine if the Mets were playing like this in April, May, and first half of June. They would have locked up the East already. Aside from that, the Mets have best announcer/analysts/commentary crew in the game. It is perfect.

In regards to this question at 13:20- the crux of the issue presented by this question is if Lindor is healthy enough for fielding duties. If Lindor’s lower back can’t get healthy enough to field with the quality that we’re accustomed to seeing from him, then SS should and will likely belong to Luisangel in this potential October experience. In general, Luisangel needs to be in the lineup for his bat alone. Admittedly it’s a small sample size, but as of now, more than a few pitchers (some with significant major league time) haven’t deciphered how to take on the younger Acuña. That anonymity can be MASSIVE in a potential postseason run.

There is no need in taking Acuña out of the lineup once Lindor returns. You put Acuña at 2nd,Iglesias at 3rd,and Vientos at DH. Vientos is more of a DH anyway. This gives us a better chance to win.

Sorry Keith but the defense with Alvarez behind the plate is very suspect. He can’t block, or sometimes even catch the ball and can’t throw anyone out. The Outfield defense with Nimmo, Bader and Taylor is superb. Marte is average fielder with a great arm. Winkler is weak. On the Infield Lindor/Acuna and Inglesias are gold glove. Vientos has limited range. Pete makes some great plays but sometimes muffs the easy ones.
@sepewrath21 сағат бұрын
Alvarez’s issue is the framing stuff. You even heard them on ESPN talk about how he is near the top of the league in framing. That is what catchers are taught these days-but it’s a double edged sword. The knee on the ground to help framing, greatly hinders mobility behind the plate. If Alvy setup in a traditional catchers stance the framing would be worse but everything else would improve I think.
@jamespurcell812020 сағат бұрын
@@sepewrath yeah, I know but I can’t believe the analytic geeks have not figured out that allowing runners to advance to second, third and even score because of being on one knee isn’t as important as MAYBE stealing a few called strikes. And they also cost some strikes as well because of how they set up.
@sepewrath20 сағат бұрын
@@jamespurcell8120I agree 100% runners are already running wild with the rules, handcuffing the catcher only makes it worse.
