You should add a delay on the fighter escort. The fighters use more fuel in combat, and just as the planning says they can follow the bombers start to finish in the raid, in practice if you're close they will leave the bombers early leaving them more vulnerable on the return journey. The bombers don't need excort till they hit the coast. Fighter range is extended if they're flying at thier own cruise speed. If you add a long delay so that the fighters join the bombers much later in the flight plan you can get escorts beyond the usual expected range. You would want a few more escort flights though with varying delays as a way to have escorted raids beyond typical. I'd also up the high escort level. Fighters have 2 doctrines, direct attack (attacking from a 2000 ft advandage) or bounce (attack the enemy from a 4000ft advantage) If you've not changes that, you will have bounce selected. So, you want to be 4000ft higher than where you expect them to be. Due to the 2 doctrines, you can expect them to be with the bombers, or 2 - 4000 ft above them. So, High escort should be more efficient at 4 - 6 - 8000 ft above the bombers. If you have bounce enemy fighters, setting high escort to 2000ft would see them only attack enemy fighters 2000ft below the bombers hight.
