I think I could watch this Gary Husband fellow drum all day...finesse meets force

Well Steve, he totally misses a cymbal @ 9:40. He blew the whole track on this take.

That's well- said. To me, he brings a kind of Keith Moon abandon to jazz.

@@tyronecasey9768 Chambers sounds more busy to me. I prefer Husband's use of space. This is ridiculous. He is playing to a track as if he was playing live with other greats in front of ten thousand people. That's intensity!

I really love this one! Gary is outstanding! I listen to John McLaughlin since I can hear (nearly) :-), he´s my fav. guitarrist, and this track subsummizes all the things I love in his compositions. Its a very nice melody, but I cannot recall it. Its a driving beat - but I cannot count it :-). Its a solemn piece of music, but also virtuos in its microcosmic aspects. I can only bow my head being faced with that genious musicians. Thank you for playing this for us!

If you wanna come it, i believe just count to 15 and that's every phrase, the acccents are more complicated, and you can subdivide how you count to 15 in different ways but 15 is the big number

Listening to anything which JM puts together, underneath it all, the driving beauty, is the composition and its often overlooked because we are dazzled by the musicianship but having been a devotee for a very long time, JM is one of the greatest composers of the modern age.

Gary Husband is a phenomenal musician. For someone who looks like he's wielding some of the poorest drum technique (according to some) yet he pulls of some of the most physically intricate and demanding licks ever. Always playing with passion and commitment.

Pretty stiff technique. And that left hand - weird index finger. I take it keyboard is his main. Still a fan - just my observations. He's no Gary Novak but each drummer had a large part in how Allan Holdsworth played his pieces. Husband certainly doesn't lack in CONFIDENCE. That can go a long way.
