I am so thankful that Gary was able to get immediate diagnosis, care, and surgery. Now if he will quit overdoing it and let his body heal. I understand completely about the "anniversary" and how very hard it is. You all are so very blessed to have such a close knit family that will give of their time and energy to help out. I just watching your channel to see all the love, respect, laughter, humor, and how you two work together to accomplish your goals. You two lift each other up during the hard times, just aa a REAL relationship is meant to be. You two, along with many other homestead youtubers have restored my faith in humanity, the sanctity of marriage, and the joy of appreciating God's many blessings. The twinkle and love in both of yours' eyes when you look at each other says it all. May God continue to bless and protect you always. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Dear hearts, you have an amazing family! Gary, young man, don't feel bad because you "are not helping ". Staying put, concentrating on your health, that's all you need to do. That's what Stacey and the rest of the family wants. Of course prayers are going your way, and also Stacey and tge rest of the gang helping out. The prayers are for all.😊 That been said, let me keep on watching the news about hurricane Helene getting close to Florida. I hope it just dissappears, specially now that my fridge broke down. Shhheeessshhh!! 😁 God is good! Take care, my sweets!

I am sending more needed hugs for the month Anniversary of your Mom's passing. It's been several years since my Momma has passed, and I still remember that day. I think of her daily. I know you will too, just when you think of her, go with it, your heart will lead you to what you feel. I still have momments of tears, smiles, and heartache. I just try to live on as she'd want me too. Hope you do too. Live Happy, and Free. I had a similar situation when I had to have my gallbladder removed. I am now in the very small percent of people that received a hideous problem of IBS afterwards having that surgery. Now I watch what I eat and know my limits of certain foods. Soo, Gary, I got similar scars!! Welcome to the GB team! (Just kiddin) hope you continue to heal and feel better. Walking helps get rid of the gas in you from the anesthesia. I love the colors you picked out for the house, and have enjoyed watching you all. Take care!!

I’ve always sprayed the wallpaper with a squirt bottle before taking it down. It makes it much easier to remove. 😉 It is already looking so much better without the wallpaper.

Wow, when it rains it pours! I had one attack and was on the phone with my doc that day and the next week had it removed. Best decision ever. Hang in there, give yourself some grace, it's a sign to slow down. You will have to tweek your eating patterns, but you will get the hang of food you can eat and not eat.

My poor daughter was only 26 when she had her gall bladder attack. The surgeon said she had the biggest gallstones he ever saw. That was 8 years ago and she’s doing great. I’m so sorry you went through that Gary. She recommends gas x for the pain. I know how it is to take one step forward and two back. I’ll send prayers and lots of positive energy for both of you 🙏🙏🕊️

I had I don't know how many attacks, and removal at 19. I have never forgotten the pain and it's been over 50 years. Gallbladder attacks and kidney stones are among the worst painful attacks, because it is trapped pain. Get well soon. It will get better, and you will never miss those stones.

Man oh man, I had 1 gallbladder attack and urgent surg 3 days later. HAPPY you decided to do it.. there's a reason for this happening when it did. I felt like a truck hit me for about 1 week, bloated too , patience is needed. Be kind to your body.. let your body heal. Chill my friend!!

Wishing you a speedy recovery. I had to have my gallbladder out in a 3rd world country during covid 2020 lockdowns. I couldn't leave. I am on my own at 67 so I had to hire an interpreter to speak to hospital staff. Then 10 days later I was told the guesthouse I lived in was shutting down. I had one week to move, all the time giving myself only 2 weeks to recover off from work. Sometimes we don't know why but you have a lovely family to help you through the hard times. Just breathe it's life.

Oh my goodness - gallbladder pain is unbelievably bad. For anyone waiting for surgery, or choosing to delay it, I can really recommend drinking decaf green tea after each meal. Obviously avoiding fatty meals is mandatory. But the decaf green tea really can help. Glad you're on the mend now. Everything comes in threes...its the law of life.

Definitely a lighter countertop... With such a small room you need to lighten it up as much as you can. That little house is exactly what I'm looking for but I need one more bedroom and possibly a basement... As I'm moving to Spokane to be closer to my grandbabies ❤❤❤. I just love the craftsman houses! I'm so sorry you guys are going through so much, I lost my mom totally unexpectedly too and I think the shock is the worst of it- and then the clean out of course. I've also had the dreaded gallbladder issues but having mine removed was the best thing I ever did and apparently I'm one of the lucky ones because I've never even noticed mine gone so I hope yours is as easy as mine was. 35 years later and I haven't had a single issue. I hope things settle down soon!

Gary please don’t overdo!!! You need to let your family do the work while you recover. I’m sure it’s hard to see your family work and you not, but I’m sure they fully understand after you just had surgery! What a blessing to have your family there to help you. I’m sorry you went through that pain and I think you definitely made the right decision not waiting to have your surgery. I can’t even imagine you having another attack while traveling back home to Alaska. Not that GB surgery is fun. The doctors also removed my appendix at the same time. I was cut from under my boob to also my leg. You will find that certain meats do not digest well. I can not digest ham, just ham and hamburger. My sister and mom, it's chicken. It is a major surgery. Be kind and rest as much as possible, take the pain meds. Good luck on recovery.
